Next, the side plates 3, 3 attached to both sides of the cylinder body 1A are plate bodies having a shape that approximately matches the side opening shape of the cylinder body 1A, and correspond to the locking grooves 4, 4 on the outdoor side. A wedge portion 5 in the shape of an arrowhead is provided protrudingly, and fastening pieces 6 corresponding to both ends of the back plate 2 are provided on the indoor side. This side plate 3,3
are attached to both sides of the cylindrical main body 1A assembled with the main body 1 and the back plate 2 by press-fitting the wedge parts 5 into the locking grooves 4, 4. As shown in FIG. 4, this wedge portion 5 is formed by a plurality of tapered arrowheads connected in series, and the groove width of the locking groove 4 is formed to be slightly smaller than the arrowhead width. Therefore, the wedge portion 5 press-fitted into the locking groove 4 bites and locks into the inner wall surface of the groove, thereby firmly attaching and assembling the side plate 3 to the cylinder body 1A. The shape of the wedge portion 5 may be any shape other than an arrowhead shape as long as it can be locked in the groove.
Further, the wedge portion 5 may be constructed of two pieces, an upper and a lower portion, by cutting out the middle portion, without making the wedge portion 5 continuous in the longitudinal direction. Similarly, the fastening piece 6 can also be composed of two pieces, an upper and a lower piece.

After the wedge portion 5 is press-fitted into the locking grooves 4, 4,
Screws 6a, 6a are screwed into the rear plate 2 through the fastening piece 6 located on the indoor side of the rear plate 2. The screws 6a are screwed into the screw holes 8a in the rear plate 2 through the fastening piece 6. These screws 6a are attached to the rear surface of the tube body 1 and are not exposed to the outside. In addition, the bent portions 7a, 7b of the opening edge piece 7 form a space 21 between them and the building wall surface, so the screws 6a
The screw 6a is located in the space 21 and is prevented from contacting the wall surface.
Alternatively, screws, rivets, etc. may be used. Furthermore, the main body 1 and the rear panel 2 may be fixed to each other at their rear portions by fasteners.

By attaching the side plates 3, 3 to the side surfaces of the cylindrical main body 1A consisting of the main body 1 and the back plate 2 as described above, a casing having the ventilation passage 10 formed therein is assembled. At this time, the through hole 7c of the opening edge piece 7 of the main body 1 and the notch hole 8b of the back plate 2 face each other at corresponding positions, so by driving fixing screws into the outside wall of the building through these holes, the housing can be fixed. The body can be firmly attached to the wall.

In the embodiment, a partition wall 13 is provided on the inner surface of the back plate 2 in the lateral direction, so that the ventilation passage 10 is separated into two stages, upper and lower, and a folded opening 13a is provided at the end of the partition wall 13. In particular, the ventilation passage 10 is formed from two layers, an upper chamber and a lower chamber, which connect to each other. By forming the ventilation path 10 in two layers in this way, the indoor air enters the upper ventilation path 10 from the indoor side ventilation port 11, flows to the longitudinal end, and turns around, as shown in FIG. Mouth 13
The water changes direction at a point a, enters the lower ventilation passage 10, flows further in the longitudinal direction, and flows out through the outdoor ventilation opening 12. By making the ventilation path 10 have a two-layer reciprocating structure in this manner, outdoor noise that has entered the housing is also diffused while reciprocating through the ventilation path 10, making it possible to further enhance the noise reduction effect. Motomo ventilation path 1
0 may be formed in a single layer, and in this case, the indoor vent 11 and the outdoor vent 12 are formed on opposite sides in the longitudinal direction of the housing. Further, the outdoor ventilation port 12 may be formed by providing an arbitrary cover or the like on one side plate 3 without providing it in the main body 1.
