Abstract

PURPOSE:To cope with paper jamming, by stopping the feed of photosensitive material, simultaneously with occurrence of a preceding photosensitive material, and by cutting a photosensitive material on exposure with the use of a photosensitive material cutting means so that thus cut pieces are removed outside of a conveying path. CONSTITUTION:When paper jamming is detected downstream of a cutter unit 20, conveyance in all parts in an image recording device is stopped. Further, if a photosensitive material S on exposure is not yet cut into a piece having a predetermined length, the cutter unit 20 is operated simultaneously with the stop of the conveyance, the photosensitive material is cut regardless of the predetermined length. Then, a nip roll 12 arranged downstream of the cutter unit 20 is manually reversed to extract the photosensitive material S whose exposure has been interrupted, and then the material S is led into between the cutter unit 20 and the nip roll 12, and is thereafter discarded after a cover 16 is opened.

Detailed Description of the Invention [Industrial Application Field] The present invention involves unwinding a roll-wound photosensitive material, transporting it to an exposure section, and cutting it into a predetermined length by a photosensitive material cutting means while exposing it at the exposure section. The present invention relates to a paper jam removal method for an image recording apparatus that performs imagewise exposure on a material.

This image recording device is coated with at least photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent, a polymerizable compound, and a color image forming substance as a photosensitive material, and at least the polymerizable compound and the color image forming substance are the same. A photosensitive composition encapsulated in microcapsules is used.

Imagewise exposure is performed to form a latent image, and then development is performed by heating to polymerize the polymerizable compound in the area where the latent image is present to form a polymer compound and harden the microcapsules. Then, the image-receiving material having an image-receiving layer to which the color image-forming substance can be transferred is stacked and pressurized to rupture at least a portion of the microcapsules in the area where the latent image does not exist, and the color image-forming substance is transferred to the image-receiving material. to obtain an image on an image-receiving material.

Here, the photosensitive material is wound into a roll and housed in a magazine. Then, it is pulled out from the magazine and exposed imagewise. However, in order to downsize the image recording apparatus, a method is adopted in which exposure is started before a predetermined length of photosensitive material is pulled out from the magazine, and during exposure, the photosensitive material is cut when it reaches a predetermined length. but,
When an image recording operation is performed on a plurality of sheets in succession, the distance between the previous photosensitive material and the subsequent photosensitive material being conveyed is approximately several square meters or several α. Therefore, in such an image recording apparatus, when a paper jam occurs downstream of the photosensitive material cutting section during image recording processing, it is necessary to simultaneously stop all conveyance. At this time, if the photosensitive material being exposed is not fed out by a predetermined length, the photosensitive material will be connected from the magazine to the exposure section through the photosensitive material cutting section. Moreover, since the exposure is interrupted and the image is cut off, this part has to be discarded. Therefore, it is necessary to take out the magazine and remove the photosensitive material remaining in the exposure area whose exposure has been interrupted. However, when resetting the magazine, the excess photosensitive material protruding from the magazine must be trimmed manually, which is time-consuming.

The present invention achieves the above-mentioned object by an image recording apparatus that unwinds a roll-wound photosensitive material, transports it to an exposure section, cuts the photosensitive material into a predetermined length by a photosensitive material cutting means while exposing the material at the exposure section, and performs imagewise exposure on the photosensitive material. 2. A paper jam clearing method, which includes: after the start of exposure and before cutting a predetermined length of the photosensitive material, conveyance of the photosensitive material is stopped at the same time as a paper jam occurs in the preceding photosensitive material downstream of the photosensitive material cutting means; This is achieved by cutting the photosensitive material that was being exposed and removing the photosensitive material whose imagewise exposure has been interrupted out of the transport path.
