Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare the title gas which gives a flame having an excellent visual effect during combustion, by mixing a combustible gas composed of an aliph. hydrocarbon with a metal capable of causing a flame reaction. CONSTITUTION:A combustible gas (A) composed of an aliph. hydrocarbon is mixed with a metallic chelating agent capable of causing a flame reaction in the form of a soln. thereof in an org. solvent (e.g., acetylacetone).

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION This invention relates to the visual effect of adding various colors to the flame other than the color of the flame produced when aliphatic hydrocarbons are burned in air.

Conventionally, when aliphatic hydrocarbons are combusted in the air, the carbon in the hydrocarbons reacts with the oxygen in the air, so the color of the flame has mainly been yellowish-orange. This is due to the chemical properties of aliphatic hydrocarbons that burn in the air, and various flame colors were not observed. Therefore, this invention was developed without impairing the chemical properties of aliphatic hydrocarbons that burn in the air. The purpose is to produce flammable gases that undergo various flame reactions during combustion.

Next, to briefly explain the present invention, a metal chelating reagent that causes a flame reaction is solubilized in an organic solvent such as an acetylacetone solution or an oxine solution. This organic solvent and aliphatic hydrocarbon are mixed at a constant ratio.

Inside the mixture of organic solvent and aliphatic hydrocarbon created in this way, the aliphatic hydrocarbon exists in a form surrounding the metal molecules and becomes stable. Therefore, the produced flammable gas is combusted in the air, and a flame reaction by metal molecules is uniformly performed.

As explained above, in this invention, by mixing aliphatic hydrocarbons with metal molecules that cause a flame reaction, a bright flame reaction occurs during combustion, and the flame color reaction is more intense than the conventional chemical reaction of simple combustion. This has the effect of allowing you to utilize your own added value.
