Abstract

PURPOSE:To extract seeds without impairing the external appearance of a fruit, by perforating the fruit from the calycinal part and the opposite side thereof with a rotating cylindrical blade, rotating only the seed supported by the above-mentioned blade, cutting off the pulp and seed and pushing out the seed while rotating. CONSTITUTION:A fruit is initially subjected to pretreatment for improving the separation of a seed. The fruit is perforated from the calycinal part with a rotating cylindrical blade (A) and simultaneously perforated from the opposite side thereof with a cylindrical blade (B). The seed (C) is then supported by the blades (A) and (B) to rotate the fruit and the rotation of a pulp (D) is stopped and fixed to cut off the pulp (D) and seed (C). The seed (C) is finally pushed out while rotating and taken out of the pulp (D).
