The connection between the steel core aluminum stranded wire and the retaining clamp is generally performed as follows. That is, as shown in FIG. 5, a portion of the aluminum w1 at the end of the steel-core aluminum stranded wire W is cut off to expose the steel core wire w2, and the steel sleeve 11 is crimped onto this. This steel sleeve 11 is covered with an aluminum collar consisting of a pair of semi-cylindrical halves 12, 12 facing each other, and the outer diameter of the aluminum collar is
One part is made to match the outer diameter, and both collar halves are inserted into the connecting sleeve 13a of the clamp 13 while being pressed by hand, and the connecting sleeve 13a is compressed and integrated from the outside to connect. Connection sleeve 13
Due to the compression of a, the collars 12, 12 are also compressed, penetrating and filling the gap between the connecting sleeve 13a and the steel sleeve 11. This prevents rainwater from entering the connection portion. However, when attaching the aluminum collar 12, as mentioned above, it is necessary to hold it by the hands of an assistant, which not only requires a lot of effort, but also requires difficult work at a high place, and there is a risk of a falling accident of the member. In addition, if the steel sleeve 11 is bent due to crimping, it is often difficult to confirm with the naked eye.If the aluminum collar 12 is placed over the steel sleeve 11 from the outside, the upper and lower halves of the aluminum collar will be bent. Some misalignment occurs between them, so that a portion of the outer diameter thereof is larger than the inner diameter of the connecting sleeve 13a of the clamp. If this is inserted into the connecting sleeve 13a as it is, it will hit before reaching the required insertion position, so there is an inconvenience that it will be necessary to pull it out, remove the collar 12, straighten the steel sleeve 11, and then repeat the same procedure again. Similar problems occur when connecting power transmission lines to each other using sleeves or connecting power transmission lines to other metal fittings using sleeves.

The present invention was devised to solve the above-mentioned problems in the conventional power transmission line compression connection work, and the two halves of the aluminum collar are constructed so that they can be freely engaged and detached at their opposing edges to facilitate temporary connection work. This is simplified and is characterized by the fact that the bending of the steel sleeve can be detected by the inability of engagement between the two.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings, taking as an example a connection between a steel core aluminum stranded wire and a retaining clamp. The aluminum collar of the present invention is used in much the same way as conventional collars, and consists of two semi-cylindrical halves 2, 2. Each half has the same shape and can be joined facing each other with the steel sleeve 11 in between. A thin engagement protrusion 2a is provided protruding from the center of one opposing edge of the collar half 2. The engaging protrusion 2a has an outer periphery continuous with the half main body and extends toward the other half, and an engaging stepped portion 2b is formed inside the engaging protrusion 2a. Further, the distal end portion of the engaging protrusion 2a slightly protrudes inward in an arcuate longitudinal section.

As described above, in the present invention, the two half-tubular halves 2, 2 constituting the aluminum collar have their other edges that face each other elastically from both sides when they are joined to each other. A clamping engagement portion is formed on the opposite edge, and the engagement portion extends a predetermined length in the axial direction along the edge, and the steel sleeve 11
Since it is configured so that it becomes impossible to engage when the aluminum collar is curved beyond a certain level, when connecting the power transmission line, all that is required is to butt the two half-tubular halves 2, which make up the aluminum collar, against each other. It can be easily temporarily fixed onto the steel sleeve 11 with the , and the work can be carried out safely by one person. Furthermore, if the steel sleeve 11 is bent due to poor compression, the mutually engaging parts of the halves 2 and 2 will not mesh with each other, so it is difficult to detect and correct this before inserting it into the connecting sleeve 13a. This has the effect of improving work efficiency.
