Production method: The EL element (2) is sandwiched between long outer skin films (5) and (6), and the thermocompression-bonded cola (8) and (9) are connected to each other. is excellent in mass production, but when the outer skin film (5) (6) is pressed from above and below with thermocompression rollers (8) (9), both ends (5a) of the long outer skin film (5) (6) ( 6a),
The adhesive (7) melted between (5b) and (6b) oozes out and adheres to the outer peripheral surfaces of the thermocompression rollers (8) and (9), staining the thermocompression rollers (8) and (9). Something happened. In particular, the lead wire (3) of the outer skin film (5) (6)
(4) is derived from the 1 end (5a) (6a)
The adhesive (7) comes out from the gap, and the heat-pressed cola (8)
When the adhesive (7) is attached to the lead wire (9) of the EL element (2), the adhesive (7) is applied to the lead wire ( 3)(4)
is transferred to the exposed part of the lead wire (3) (
This may make the soldering process (4) difficult and reduce the commercial value of the EL panel (1).

In addition, the EL element (2) is generally about 0.5 m thick, and the outer film (5) (6) is about 0.25 m thick, and the outer film sandwiching the EL element (2) is (5)(6)
The central portion (5c) facing the EL element (2) (6
There is a step difference of about 0.25 a between c) and the surrounding area to be thermocompressed. Therefore, the skin film (5
) (6) when pressed with thermocompression rollers (8) and (9),
The thermocompression rollers (8) (9) are attached to the outer skin film (5) (
Although the central portions (5c) and (6c) of 6) are strongly pressed, the peripheral portions are not pressed strongly due to the above-mentioned step, and therefore the heat pressure M property is particularly poor at the side ends (5a) and (6a) on the lead wire lead-out side. In some cases, the sealing performance in this area deteriorates and the life of the EL panel (1) is shortened.

In order to make a guess] λ χ The present invention is
A plate-shaped EL element is sandwiched between upper and lower outer films, and the parts of the upper and lower outer films that protrude from the EL elements are pressed together from above and below with elastic thermocompression rollers to bond them under heat. The above-mentioned conventional problems are solved by interposing a heat-resistant tape with a width that protrudes from the outer skin film at a selected part between the protruding part and the thermocompression roller. .

When pressing the outer skin film holding the false butt EL litter between them with a thermocompression roller, if a tape that protrudes from the outer skin film is interposed between the edge of the outer skin film and the thermocompression roller, the edge of the outer skin film will be pressed. Even if the adhesive on the inner surface of the outer skin film protrudes, this protruding adhesive will stick to the tape and will not stick to the thermocompression roller. By pressing the end portion with the thermocompression roller, the pressure applied to the protruding end portion of the outer skin film during thermocompression bonding increases.

It becomes strong in almost the entire area of 6a), and the side edge part (5a) (6
The thermocompression bondability of a) becomes better. Furthermore, tape (12

In other words, if this type of space (m) is large, there is a high possibility that air leakage will occur from the space (m) during the EL panel drying process and the sealing performance will deteriorate.
2') (13') By making the space (m) close to the minimum (minimum), there is less possibility that the sealing performance will deteriorate.

According to the present invention, when the outer skin film for sealing the EL litter is thermocompressed using a thermocompression roller, a tape is interposed in the lead wire lead-out portion of the outer skin film, so that food can be removed from the outer film. The adhesive between the outer skin films that protrudes adheres to the tape and does not adhere to the thermocompression roller. Therefore, the adhesive does not adhere to the lead wires of subsequent EL elements, resulting in an EL panel with high commercial value. It can be manufactured with good mass productivity, and the thermo-compression roller is less dirty, resulting in a longer service life. In addition, the sealing performance of the end portions of the outer film that is thermocompression bonded through the tape is improved, and the life of the EL panel can be extended and the reliability improved.
