Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a patterned Al sheet in a short time by patternwise applying a pattern forming soln. having a specified compsn. to the surface of an Al slab to etch the surface, rolling the slab and carrying out surface oxidation treatment. CONSTITUTION:The surface of an Al slab 1 is made finely uneven 2 by planing and a pattern forming soln. 3 prepd. by dissolving an alkali metal such as Na or K in a solvent such as water or oil is patternwise applied to the uneven surface to etch the recesses of the surface. The Al slab is then heated to 500 deg.C, hot rolled and cold rolled to obtain an Al sheet. This Al sheet is anodically oxidized in an aq. sulfuric acid soln. as an electrolytic soln. Thus, an Al sheet 4 having a grained pattern 5 on the surface can be produced in a short time.

Means for Solving the Problems In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has been made with a focus on surface processing for patterning at the aluminum slab stage. That is, the present invention is characterized in that a pattern-forming liquid containing an alkali metal is applied to the surface of an aluminum slab in a desired pattern, the coated area is corroded, and then rolled, and then anodized. The gist of this paper is a method for manufacturing aluminum plates with aluminum plates.

An aluminum plate is manufactured by a conventional method by cutting an aluminum slab produced by melting and casting aluminum, then subjecting it to preliminary heat treatment, and then hot rolling or further cold rolling. First, a pattern-forming liquid is applied to the surface of the aluminum slab in a desired pattern after soaking it or without soaking it. This pattern-forming liquid must contain at least an alkali metal such as Na, etc., in order to corrode the aluminum surface of the part to which the liquid is applied. The solvent may be water or oil as long as it contains an alkali metal, and may also contain a surfactant or the like. Note that the pattern-forming liquid may be applied by any method such as a roll coating method or a brush coating method as long as it can be applied in the desired pattern. By leaving the pattern-forming liquid to stand for a while after applying the pattern-forming liquid, the part of the surface of the aluminum slab where the liquid has been applied corrodes into a rough surface having fine irregularities.

This preheating is performed to eliminate the deformation resistance of the slab, but in this invention, the pattern forming liquid also has the effect of accelerating corrosion. Such preheating is generally 400°C.

By preheating, the pattern-forming liquid applied to the slab surface evaporates, but depending on the type of liquid-containing material, residue may remain on the coated area after preheating.

Next, the aluminum slab is subjected to hot rolling or further cold rolling according to a conventional method to obtain an aluminum plate having a desired thickness. As a result of this rolling process, the surface of the aluminum slab is expanded as it is, and as a result, the aluminum plate has corroded portions corresponding to the pattern formed over the entire surface of the aluminum plate.

Through this anodic oxide film, a noticeable difference in light reflectance appears between the corroded and non-corroded parts of the aluminum plate surface, and these two parts exhibit different colors, making it possible to create the desired pattern. It exhibits a clearly highlighted appearance. Note that the anodic oxidation treatment is performed according to a conventional method.・Effects of the Invention As described above, this invention performs surface corrosion treatment for patterning at the stage of aluminum slab before rolling, so it is not possible to pattern the finished product as an aluminum plate as in the past. In this case, the processing area is smaller than that in the case of processing, and therefore the processing time can be shortened. Furthermore, in this invention, a pattern-forming liquid is first applied to the surface of an aluminum slab to cause corrosion to the applied part, and after rolling, an anodizing treatment is performed to form an anodized film, and the corroded part and non-corroded part are separated from each other through the film. By showing the difference in color between
Since the pattern is made to appear on the surface of the aluminum plate, there is no need for conventional mechanical unevenness processing such as brushing or embossing. For this reason, the above-mentioned patterning, together with the reduction of the processing area, allows for easy patterning, and also allows for various patterns, from simple to complex, to be applied, giving freedom of pattern selection. You can improve your degree. As a result, the commercial value of the provided aluminum plate as a decorative plate material can be increased, and its range of use can be expanded.
