Abstract

PURPOSE:To freely perform the progressive switching and the automatic switching of an antenna from a position where a television is looked and listened by providing a means, which decides whether a selected channel is the same as that being looked now or not, and whether the interval between channel selecting operations is within prescribed time or not, and whether the interval between the channel selecting operations is within the prescribed time or not. CONSTITUTION:After the channel is selected by a remote control or the like to remote- operate a television receiver set, a discrimination means 14 such as a microcomputer or the like performs the discrimination 14a whether the selected channel is the same as the channel, being looked now, or not, and the discrimination 14b whether the interval of the selecting operations is after the lapse of the prescribed time or not. The control signal of either the automatic or the progressive switching is outputted to an antenna switching circuit 13 so that if the discriminated output of the discrimination means such as the microcomputer etc., is that of the same channel and in addition, if the interval of the selecting operation is within the prescribed time, the switching of the antennal 11 is performed by the progressive switching, and in other cases, the automatic switching is performed.

In addition, as shown in Figure 2, the operation of obtaining the necessary signal from the television receiver, selecting the optimum point, and fixing the antenna element is performed when the receiving channel is selected and when the television set is turned on/off. Automatic antenna switching circuits are known that perform automatic antenna switching from time to time.

A video signal 1 and a horizontal synchronizing signal 2 are obtained from a television receiver and input to a noise amplifier/detection circuit 3 and a gate pulse generation circuit 4, respectively. The gate pulse generation circuit 4 generates a gate pulse that gates the horizontal synchronization signal period in the video signal based on the horizontal synchronization signal 2. The noise amplifier/detection circuit 3 differentiates the video signal and amplifies only the gate pulse period. Since there is no video signal during this period, noise components and ghost components contained in the received signal can be detected. Further, the gate-amplified noise component is detected, DC-converted, and a discrimination circuit composed of a DC amplifier in the matching pulse generation circuit 6 in the subsequent stage detects the point where the noise component is the least, and a matching pulse 6 is generated.

Further, a flyback pulse 7 is obtained from a television receiver, and the frequency is divided by a 1/256 frequency divider 8 to generate a main clock 9. The counter decoder circuit 10 is operated by the main clock 9. The counter decoder circuit 1o decodes a control pulse for switching the configuration of the antenna elements 11, 12 and outputs it to the antenna switching circuit j)lH3.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in the above configuration, even if the above device selects the optimal point during automatic selection, if the received signal is weak and the color flickers are large, or if noise and ghosts are introduced. In the case of mixed signals (such reception conditions are common), there is no floor plan that allows the user to select the optimum point desired.

Means for Solving the Problems The automatic directional antenna switching control device of the present invention provides a control system for automatically controlling a channel using a microcomputer or the like when a channel is selected using a channel remote control means (hereinafter referred to as a remote control) for remotely controlling a television receiver. The determination means determines whether the selected channel is the same as the channel currently being received, and determines whether a certain period of time has elapsed between channel selection operations, and the determination means such as a microcomputer outputs the determination. If the channels are the same and the interval between channel selection operations is within a certain period of time, the antennas are switched sequentially, and in other cases automatic/sequential control is applied to the antenna switching unit so that automatic switching is performed. It is characterized by outputting a signal.

Next, when you select another channel using the remote control, the circuit basically performs the operation described above.
The channel determination means 14a determines whether or not the same channel as the channel currently being received has been selected, and the channel selection operation interval determination means 14b determines whether or not the channel has been selected within a certain period of time after the previous channel selection. If the same channel is selected and the interval between the channel selection operations is within a certain period of time (several seconds), the microcomputer 14 controls the control circuit 16.
While outputting the head feed pulse 16, this time,
By fixing the control line 23 to the "L" level on the progressive side by the control signal generating means 140, the defeat pulse 15 is directly transmitted to the counter/decoder circuit 1 in terms of hardware.
o clock and the plurality of antenna elements 11.1
Configuration 2 (combined set) can be switched every time a total defeat pulse is received, 9 each time the same channel is selected within a certain period of time 6 Therefore, the user can leave the reception state by multiple antenna elements From there, you can find the optimal point while checking the actual image.
