A trap using a bait box for catching snakes alive has a circumferential wall formed with a porous wall made of wire mesh, etc., and a guide tunnel is installed in the porous wall, as already disclosed in, for example, Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 11672/1983. The bait box is supported in a cantilevered manner, and the bait box is attached directly to the top of the trap. However, in traps with this type of structure, the water supply for food is placed on the top of the trap, so other animals such as dogs and cats can tamper with the water supply, making it impossible to supply water. This will shorten the lifespan of the bait, and the support condition of the guide tunnel section may lack stability, resulting in problems such as deformation and the inability to smoothly open and close the gate provided within the guide tunnel section. It was found that this is likely to occur.

Therefore, in the present invention, a ceiling chamber is formed inside the trap using a partition plate, and this ceiling chamber can be used as a storage area for a water supply device, etc., and the partition plate can be used as a support section for a bait box and a guide tunnel section. The above problem is completely solved by constructing a trap.

The snake trap featured by the present invention will be described below with reference to the embodiments shown in the accompanying drawings. At least the circumferential wall portion 2 forms a bait box 1 with a porous wall surface made of wire mesh or the like, A bait box 3 made of wire mesh or the like is provided inside the bait box 1, and a guide tunnel section 5 is connected to the entry port 4 provided at least on the upper side of the circumferential wall section 2. In a snake trap, a gate 6 which can be rotated toward the inside of the guide tunnel part 5 is installed in an inclined state.
Inside, a ceiling chamber 8 is provided by laying a partition plate 7 above the bait box 1, and the bait box 3 is suspended in an opening 9 formed in the partition plate 7. 9
A cover plate 11 is provided to open and close the entry port 4.
A guiding tunnel portion 5 extending from the inside of the toilet box 1 toward the inside is attached to the lower surface of a partition plate 7.

In the configuration of the trap described above, one side of the top plate 12 of the bait box 1 is pivoted to the bait box 1 so that the ceiling chamber 8 can be opened and closed, and a stopper 14 is attached to the edge opposite to the pivot 13. A part of the circumferential wall surface 2 has a lower part opened, and a door plate 15 is pivotally attached 16 to the opening part so as to be openable and closable.
A stopper 1 is attached to the edge opposite to this pivot 16 part.

The gate 6 is formed in the shape of a fence, and its installation position is approximately in the center of the guide tunnel section 5. By specifying this installation position, the gate 6 is prevented from being destroyed by other animals such as dogs and cats. . However,
A connecting rod 18 provided on the upper side of the gate 6 is a partition plate 7 that functions as a ceiling plate of the guide tunnel section 5.
The lower side is always in contact with the bottom surface 5a of the guide tunnel section 5, and a connecting rod 21 which also serves as a vertical plumb is attached to the lower side. There is. Furthermore, there are countless wart-like protrusions 22 on the outer side of the peripheral wall surface 2.
This protrusion 22 is designed to help snakes climb up and make it easier for snakes to enter the guide tunnel section 5. Bottom surface 5 of guide tunnel section 5

According to the above configuration, the inside of the bait box 1 and the feeding box 3 can be clearly seen from the outside, so the live bait stored in the feeding box 3 can be seen from the outside.
The snake instinctively approaches the trap using its sense of smell and sight, crawls through the entrance 4 into the guide tunnel 5, pushes the gate 6, moves forward, and finally falls into the trap box 1. Become. The fallen snake pushes the gate 6 in order to escape, but since the gate 6 cannot be opened outward, the snake cannot escape and is kept in the cage 1. . In addition, since the snakes that have invaded cannot eat even if they see the food, the live food in the feeding box 3 can be used as bait for the snakes that will invade later. Therefore, in order to extend the life of the bait, water supply is necessary, but in the present invention, a water supply device is housed in the ceiling chamber 8 formed by installing the partition plate 7, and water is supplied to the bait. be able to. Captured snakes can be easily taken out by opening the door plate 15 provided at the bottom of the peripheral wall 2, and bait can be replaced by opening the top plate 12 and lid plate 1.
You can open 1 and do it.

The present invention is as described above, and a ceiling chamber is provided in the Otori box using a partition plate, and this ceiling chamber is used to accommodate the water dispenser, so there is no risk of the water dispenser being taken away. There is no need to worry about the inconvenience caused by not being able to supply water to the bait, and it is possible to maintain the life of the bait for a longer period of time (approximately one month). Also, the bait box and guide tunnel part can be divided into partitions. Since the attached condition is fixed and there is no risk of deformation, it is possible to provide a highly durable trap, which can extend the life of the bait and enable economical use. etc., its practical value is extremely great.
