However, as in this conventional air conditioner Z1 , the upper end surface 2a of the chamber 2 and the second partition plate 8 are In the case where the upper end surface 8a is pressed into contact with the air conditioner main body 1 and the panel assembly 4 in the fitting direction to ensure sealing performance between the two, it seems possible to ensure sufficient sealing performance. Because the assembly margin (permissible positional deviation width) between the air conditioner main body 1 and the chamber 2 in the vertical and horizontal directions is relatively small (in other words, the relative width between the air conditioner main body 1 and the chamber 2 It is difficult to align the air conditioner body 1 and the chamber 2 (because even if the position deviates even slightly from the normal position, the sealing performance between the two will deteriorate significantly), it takes a lot of time to assemble. There was a problem.

(Structure of the invention) The present invention is constructed by equipping a fan and a heat exchanger in a main body casing with an open bottom, and is placed in the ceiling with the open end of the main casing facing downward. A connection part to the air conditioner main body of a panel assembly having an inlet and an outlet and a panel installed on the lower surface of the ceiling is connected to the air conditioner in the open end of the main body casing of the air conditioner main body. In a ceiling-embedded air conditioner, the air conditioner main body and the panel assembly are integrally joined by an appropriate coupling means when the main body is properly fitted from the lower side of the main body. between the inner surface of the open end and the outer surface of the connecting portion of the panel assembly;
While allowing relative displacement in the vertical direction between the main body casing and the panel assembly, relative displacement in the horizontal direction between the main body casing and the panel assembly follows the displacement of the gap size between them. The present invention is characterized in that a sealing member is provided which acts to maintain airtightness between the main body casing and the panel assembly by appropriately deforming the space formed inside the main body casing.

In the air conditioner Z 2 of this embodiment, when the panel assembly 4 of the conventional air conditioner Z 1 described above is attached to the air conditioner main body 1, the sealing material attached to the air conditioner main body 1 side is In contrast, the upper end of the panel assembly 4 was brought into pressure contact with the upper end of the panel assembly 4 to ensure sealing between the two, whereas the inner surface of the open end 19a of the main body casing 19 A sealing member 24 having an appropriate elastic restoring force between the connecting portion of the panel assembly 4 fitted in the panel assembly 19a to the main body casing 19, that is, the outer surface of the upper end portion 2b of the chamber 2, is also connected to the main body casing 19. A second seal member 28 having an appropriate elastic restoring force is interposed between the first partition plate 7 and the second partition plate 8 on the chamber 2 side, and the first and second seal members 24 and 28 close the main body. Sealing performance between the casing 19 and the chamber 2 is ensured. That is, in this embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the upper end of the chamber 2 of the heat insulating material 20 (soft polyurethane foam is used in the illustrated embodiment) is attached to the inner surface of the side plate 19b of the main body casing 19. The part 20a corresponding to the overlapping position of the part 2b and the main casing 19 is attached to the main casing side plate 19b.
The first seal member 24 is used as the first sealing member 24 by appropriately bulging inward (towards the chamber 2) to form a space 30 of an appropriate size between the two. Incidentally, as a method of forming the first seal member 24 using a part of this heat insulating material 20, when pasting the thin plate-shaped heat insulating material 20 to the inner surface of the side plate 19b of the main body casing 19, the part where the seal member will be formed is partially removed. There is a method in which it is pasted in an inflated state and this bulging part is used as the first sealing member 24, or the position corresponding to the sealing member forming part is set on the main body casing 1 during molding of the heat insulating material.
9, the main body casing side plate 1
A conceivable method is to form a bulge integrally in advance so as to form a space 30 between the main body casing 19 and the main body casing 19. In addition, a heat insulating material 20 is attached to the main casing 19.
In the case of an air conditioner with a structure in which the heat insulating material and the sealing material are not attached, or in the case of an air conditioner with a structure in which the heat insulating material and the sealing material are separate, the main body casing 1 is attached as shown in Fig. 4.
A pair of upper and lower horizontally extending slits 25, 25 are formed in the side plate 19b of 9.
The first sealing member 24 can also be formed by attaching a band-shaped urethane material between the slits 25 and 25 through the slits 25 and inflating it appropriately to form a space 30 between the main body casing side plate 19b. . Further, at the joint portion between the first partition plate 7 on the main body casing 19 side and the second partition plate 8 on the chamber 2 side, a part of the heat insulating material 27 attached to the first partition plate 7 is bulged out appropriately. Form and add this to the second
A sealing member 28 is used, and the second sealing member 28 is brought into pressure contact with the side surface of the second partition plate 8 to connect the first partition plate 7 and the second partition plate 8 in an airtight manner. The second seal member 28 and the first seal member 24 connect the suction passage 12 of the chamber 2 and the suction side air passage 9 of the main body casing 19.
Also, sealing performance between the blow-off passage 13 of the chamber 2 and the blow-off side air passage 10 of the main body casing 19 is ensured.

As described above, the first seal member 24 and the second seal member 28 each having a cavity 30 that is appropriately elastically deformed are formed in the open end 19a of the main casing 19, and the first and second seal members 24 , 28 are pressed against the outer surface of the upper end 2a of the chamber 2 and the side surface of the second partition plate 8 to ensure sealing between the main body casing 19 and the chamber 2.
In the fitting direction (vertical direction) of the chamber 2, the relative displacement between the chamber 2 and the main casing 19 is free (in other words, alignment between the two in the vertical direction is unnecessary), and in the horizontal direction, the sealing member It is possible to allow a positional deviation between the two by a dimension (maximum value) corresponding to the bulge dimension L of No. 24 (the permissible positional deviation width in the horizontal direction increases). Therefore, when the panel assembly 4 is attached to the air conditioner main body 1 side through the panel attachment hole 26 of the ceiling panel 18, even if the relative position between the two is slightly shifted from the normal position in the horizontal direction, the sealing performance between the two can be maintained. can be secured sufficiently.

(Effect of the invention) The ceiling-embedded air conditioner of the present invention is such that a panel assembly is attached from the lower surface of the ceiling to the bottom side of the air conditioner body disposed in the ceiling. Between the bottom side of the main body and the connecting portion of the panel assembly to the air conditioner main body, relative displacement in the vertical direction between the air conditioner main body and the panel assembly is allowed, while relative displacement in the horizontal direction is allowed. A sealing member is attached to the air conditioner, which acts to maintain the sealing property between the two by appropriately deforming the space formed inside the space following the displacement of the gap size between the two. When assembling the panel assembly to the machine body, even if the relative position between the two in the horizontal and vertical directions is slightly shifted from the normal position, sufficient sealing performance can be ensured, and as a result, air conditioning This has the practical effect of making it easier to position the panel assembly relative to the machine body, thereby simplifying the assembly work.
