[Detailed description of the invention] This invention relates to waterproof joints in curtain walls and the like that constitute the outer walls of buildings.

Conventionally, the joints of curtain walls and the like are generally constructed in such a way that sealants are attached to two locations, one on the indoor side and the other on the outdoor side, of the joint gap, and airtightness and watertightness are mainly provided by the sealant on the outdoor side.

However, the current situation is that sealing materials on the outside of the room are exposed to wind, rain, and sunlight, and as a result of deformation due to the expansion and contraction of the joints, weathering and deterioration are significant, eventually leading to rainwater intrusion.

In response to this, various structures have been proposed that attempt to prevent rainwater from entering by applying the isobaric theory.

In such an equal pressure curtain wall, the structure for introducing outside air into the equal pressure space at the side joints is as follows.
Various methods have been proposed, such as those with holes in the precast panel and those with holes in the waterproof rubber on the outdoor side, but all of them have the disadvantage that the precast panels and waterproof rubber are expensive.

The waterproof joint of this invention was devised to solve the drawbacks of conventional equal-pressure curtain walls, and it is made by interposing a sealant on the indoor side between the opposing surfaces of the upper and lower precast panels. A waterproof piece is provided on the outside protruding from one of the opposing surfaces, and a groove is provided on the other opposing surface at a position facing the waterproof piece.

This invention will be explained below based on illustrated embodiments.

Figure 1a shows a longitudinal section of the horizontal joint between the upper and lower precast concrete panels 1, 1, where the indoor side is airtightly sealed with a sealant 2, and a waterproof piece 3 is protruded from the underside of the upper precast concrete panel 1. This is what I did. However, considering the construction error (approximately ±5 mm), if the condition shown in Figure 1 a is taken as the standard, there will be no gap for introducing outside air pressure as shown in Figure 1 b, or there will be no gap for introducing outside air pressure as shown in Figure 1 c. There is a possibility that the gap is too large, allowing rainwater to enter.

On the other hand, FIG. 2a shows an embodiment of this invention, in which grooves 4 are provided at opposing positions of the opposing surfaces of the waterproof piece 3 in the above-described configuration. Therefore, if the waterproof piece 4 is made longer than the waterproof piece 3 in the cases of Figure 1 a, b, and c by about half the depth of the groove 5, the construction error will be reduced with the case of Figure 2 a as the standard. As shown in Figure 2b, even if the joint width becomes narrow, a gap is ensured for the introduction of outside air pressure, and conversely, even if the joint width becomes wider, as shown in Figure 2c, there is a gap to prevent rainwater from splashing. Intrusion can be reliably prevented. In this case, the groove 5 of the lower precast concrete panel can also be used as a drainage groove in case rainwater enters. Furthermore, the area required for introducing outside air pressure is determined in relation to the amount of air leakage generated inside the room.

防水片4としては合成ゴム等を使用する。 As the waterproof piece 4, synthetic rubber or the like is used.

In the embodiment shown in Fig. 3, on the contrary, a waterproof piece 6 is provided on the lower precast concrete panel 1, and a groove 7 is provided on the upper concrete pile 1, and it is possible to similarly deal with construction errors. can.

This idea consists of the above-mentioned structure, and even if there is a construction error, the outside pressure inlet area is secured, and an equal pressure space is formed, so rainwater can be prevented from entering, and the waterproofing material also prevents rainwater from splashing in due to kinetic energy. can be reliably eliminated. Furthermore, since the structure is simple, precast panels and the like can be manufactured at low cost.
