Claims

A pit filled with water, a rack assembly installed underwater in the pit, a water jet nozzle disposed on the bottom of the pit, a discharge pump communicating with the water jet nozzle, and a side wall of the pit and the rack assembly. The rack assembly includes a plurality of vertical storage cylinders that individually receive nuclear fuel assemblies, a support frame that interconnects the vertical storage cylinders, and an elastic buffer member interposed between the vertical storage cylinders and the vertical storage cylinders.
