Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain pattern formation giving higher grade feeling than that given by conventional processes, by forming a pattern, etc. with metallic foil on the surface of a molded body by executing metallic hot stamping on the surface of a molded plastic body, then executing coating of a crepe paint on said molded body. CONSTITUTION:A pattern or a character is formed with metallic foil (e.g. 'KD1 Gold(R)' manufactured by Murata Kinpaku K.K.) on the surface of a molded plastic body by executing metallic hot stamping, then a crepe paint (e.g. pattern paint having a trade name 'Chijimi(R)' manufactured by Osaka Varnish K.K.) is coated on the molded body and baked at, for example, 80 deg.C for 60min. As a result, delicate effect as if a grain pattern is formed on the surface is obtd. without forming a relief artificially on the surface of the metallic foil. Moreover, a contrast of profound feeling is formed by the parts coated with the metallic foil and those uncoated with the metallic foil. Thus, higher grade feeling which has not been created by the conventional processes is given to the product.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Object of the Invention] As a result of various researches aimed at forming patterns and letters that give a synthetic resin molded product an unprecedented sense of luxury, the present inventor has developed a synthetic resin molded product. After forming patterns or letters with metal foil on a resin molded body by metallic hot stamping, by painting the molded body with a transparent or colored transparent paint, it is possible to create a pattern or letters on the surface of the metal foil without artificially forming irregularities on the surface of the metal foil. It gives the effect of forming a subtle grain pattern, and the parts with and without metal foil form a deep and tasteful contrast, giving the product an indescribable sense of luxury. It was a success.

Conventionally, in order to make the hot-stamped surface uneven in terms of appearance as in the present invention, there has been a method of hot-stamping the surface of the engraving to be hot-stamped into a desired uneven shape, and a method of hot-stamping the base material. (the surface to be hot stamped) in advance.
It is possible to obtain unevenness along the base material by applying unevenness and hot stamping with rubber stamping, but with both methods, the outline of the foil may not be sharp or the unevenness of the surface may be too high. Because of this, the foil easily came off, making it impractical.

又、ホットスタンプ箔のかわりに比較的立体的な模様を

Further, even if hologram foil, which is commercially available as a laminated metal foil that gives a relatively three-dimensional pattern, is used instead of hot stamp foil, there are disadvantages such as lack of brightness and unsuitable price.

In addition, even if a matting agent such as a clear coat or a light diffusing agent is added and painted after hot stamping, the former does not cause any change to the hot stamp surface, while the latter In general, only the luster was lost, and the decorative effect as in the present invention was not observed.
