Conventional methods for painting architectural boards with patterns include applying paint to architectural boards using a spray gun to add patterns; It is only possible to paint with a simple pattern, and when painting a complicated pattern, it is necessary to increase the number of spray guns, but this increases the equipment cost and complicates the control device. Furthermore, there are problems with the responsiveness and lifespan of the spray gun under high frequency and high cycle use. There is also a known coating method in which the uneven pattern on the surface of a patterned roll is transferred to a construction board using a roll transfer method similar to a general printing method, but with this method, it is difficult to apply a uniform pattern to the construction board. Thickness accuracy is required, and if the construction board has uneven parts, it is impossible to paint the recessed parts, and furthermore, because of the contact method, it is difficult to apply a uniform pattern due to roll wear etc.

The present invention was made in view of these circumstances, and by applying the paint discharged from the coating device to the architectural board through patterned through grooves provided in the masking plate, it is possible to paint with a wide variety of patterns. To provide a patterned coating method for architectural boards that can apply a uniform pattern regardless of the thickness accuracy of the architectural boards, the presence or absence of uneven parts, etc.

That is, the patterned coating method for architectural boards of the present invention is as follows:
The paint is continuously discharged and dropped from the coating device 1 to form a paint film 2, and at the same time as the construction board 4, which is conveyed by the conveyance device 3 installed below the coating device 1, crosses the paint film 2, the coating device 1 and the conveying device 3 and provided with patterned through grooves 6, the masking plate 5 is moved across the paint film 2 by moving it in synchronization with the movement of the construction board 4. The present invention is characterized in that the paint film 2 is broken and the paint is applied dropwise onto the building board 4 through the through groove 6 of the masking plate 5, thereby painting the building board 4 with a pattern. The patterned coating method of the present invention will be explained below based on the attached drawings. FIG. 1 shows an example of a coating apparatus for carrying out an embodiment of the present invention, and shows a nozzle 9 of a spray gun 1a as a coating apparatus 1 which is constantly open for paint supplied from a paint tank 7 by a pump 8. The conical paint film 2 is formed by discharging and falling more continuously. On the other hand, a detector (not shown) detects a building board 4 moving on a conveyor 3a serving as a transport device 3 disposed below the spray gun 1a. When the tip of the construction board 4 crosses the paint film 2, the masking plate 5 located between the spray gun 1a and the conveyor 3a is moved to cross the paint film 2.
This masking plate 5 is provided with through grooves 6 of an arbitrary pattern, and by reciprocating this masking plate 5 with a crank arm 10, the paint film 2 is broken and the paint is allowed to pass through the through grooves 6. An arbitrary pattern is painted on the architectural board 4. Since the patterned coating is performed without contact between the spray gun 1a and the architectural board 4, uniform patterned painting can be performed even if the architectural board 4 has irregularities or regardless of the accuracy of the thickness. can.
Moreover, by changing the shape of the through grooves 6 of the masking plate 5, any desired pattern can be painted. Note that 11 is a motor that drives the crank arm. Reference numeral 12 denotes a paint recovery gutter, which is located almost directly below the spray gun 1a, and feeds paint that is not used for painting into the paint tank 7 through a supply pipe 13. A paint wiper 14 removes excess paint adhering to the masking plate 5 as the masking plate 5 reciprocates and drops it into the paint collection gutter 12. FIG. 2 shows an example of a coating apparatus for carrying out another embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the paint discharge direction of the spray gun 1a is inclined at an angle θ from the vertical direction, and the masking plate 5 is The direction of the reciprocating motion is also inclined at the same angle with respect to the horizontal direction, and is perpendicular to the paint discharge direction. Note that θ is preferably about 30 to 45 degrees. By tilting and reciprocating the masking plate 5, excess paint adhering to the masking plate 5 naturally falls into the paint collection gutter 12, thereby eliminating the need for the paint wiper 14 shown in FIG. FIG. 3 shows an example of a coating device for carrying out still another embodiment of the present invention,
In this embodiment, a flow coater 1 is used as the coating device 1.
Using b, the paint is discharged from the flow coater head 15 to form a uniform curtain-like paint film 2,
The purpose is to apply a more uniform patterned coating to the architectural board 4. In the above-described embodiments, a crank arm type drive device is used as an example, but it goes without saying that other types such as an air cylinder, a hydraulic cylinder, etc. can also be used. Further, although the case has been described in which patterned coating is performed by reciprocating the masking plate 5, patterned coating may also be performed by keeping the masking plate 5 stationary and fixed and reciprocating the coating device 1.

As explained above, according to the patterned coating method for architectural boards of the present invention, the paint film formed by the coating device is broken across the masking plate, and the paint is applied to the patterned through grooves provided on the masking plate. Since the coating is passed through and applied to the construction board, there is no need for the coating device to come into contact with the construction board, so the coating is uniform regardless of the thickness accuracy of the construction board or even if there are irregularities on the surface of the construction board. By adjusting the amount of paint discharged from the applicator and by changing the shape of the through grooves of the masking plate, it is possible to apply coatings with arbitrary patterns to architectural boards. can be administered.
