Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the content of communication from tapping continuously by a 3rd party by switching the frequency of a radio channel used between a mobile body and a radio base station at each prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:An automobile telephone exchange station 4 operates a timer circuit 8 based on a talking start signal to start the count of a time T. When the time T is counted by the timer circuit 8, after the automobile telephone exchange station 4 selects one of idle communication channels of a small radio zone, the station executes a wire continuity test with a radio base station 2 as to a communication channel. When the result is excellent, a communication channel switching signal is sent to select a new communication channel f3 through a communication channel f2 in use at present. A mobile equipment executes the radio continuity test with the radio base station in response thereto after a new communication channel is selected. Thus, the privacy of communication is enhanced without using a special privacy equipment.

Detailed Description of the Invention (a) Industrial Application Field The present invention divides the entire wireless communication service area into a plurality of small wireless zones, allocates a plurality of frequencies to each small wireless zone, and divides the frequency. The present invention relates to a wireless channel switching method for mobile communications in which a mobile device and wireless base stations installed in each of the small wireless zones communicate using the present invention.

(b) Conventional technology Traditionally, in mobile communications such as car telephones,
Published by the Institute of Electronics and Communication Engineers on February 10th,
In order to make effective use of radio waves, as described in ``Car Telephones'', a ``small zone configuration'' is adopted in which the entire wireless communication service area is divided into multiple small wireless zones. In this way, it is possible to use the same frequency radio channel repeatedly in geographically isolated locations, and it is also possible to temporally multiplex one radio channel to a large number of mobile devices. ing. Therefore, in response to an outgoing call, the mobile device detects the small hot wire zone in which the mobile device is located, and then assigns a wireless channel to the mobile device that makes a call while moving through multiple small wireless zones. It becomes necessary to switch the wireless channel.

In Figure 2, when the mobile device (1:) that was talking in the small wireless zone (CB) moves toward the small wireless zone (0), the reception level of the communication channel from the mobile device [11] is constantly monitored. The communication channel receiver in the wireless base station (2) that is currently located knows that the mobile device (1) is moving out of its own zone because the reception level has fallen below a specified value.

The radio base station (2) notifies the radio network control station (3) of the level deterioration of the communication channel, and the radio network control station (3)
Based on this, the radio base stations in the small radio zone) and the surrounding small radio zones are instructed to monitor the reception level of the communication channel. In addition to control and telephone receivers, each radio base station has an S/N monitoring receiver that monitors the reception level for channel switching during a telephone call. The reception frequency of the former is fixed. On the other hand, the latter can be switched to any one channel within the car telephone system by an external command.
