Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp image by preventing the contact of a recording dot with a recording head, by providing a heat generator group to the end part of the substrate on the downstream side with respect to the advance direction of a recording medium and providing an electrode on the upstream side thereof. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 6 is provided to the substrate 4 on the upstream side with respect to the advance direction of recording paper 10 and a heat generator 7 is provided to the end part of the substrate 4 on the downstream side. By this constitution, since the substrate 4 is not present on the downstream side of the under surface of a recording head 1, trouble such as the abrasion or contact of an ink dot 12 with the substrate 4 is not generated when the ink dot 12 on the recording paper 10 passes through the gap formed between the heat generator 7 and the recording paper 10.
