AIDS is the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome caused by the human immunodeficiency virus, and it is estimated that approximately 100,000 people worldwide are infected with the disease, and approximately 1 million people are infected with the virus, and this number is not expected to increase significantly in the future. It is feared that it is unavoidable. AIDS is believed to be transmitted through body fluids such as blood and semen, and there is currently no treatment for the cause, and symptomatic treatment is the main focus.

Incidentally, dentistry is one of the occupations with the highest risk of infection with the AIDS virus. That is, during dental treatment, it is unavoidable that bleeding occurs around the affected area, and it is also unavoidable that bits of the cut tooth are scattered.

Therefore, there is a risk that blood-stained tooth fragments may stick in the dentist's mouth, eyes, or other parts of the body and infect the dentist with the AIDS virus. Furthermore, patients undergoing dental treatment often cough due to water collecting in their throats, and in this case, it is impossible to prevent saliva from scattering.

Some dental treatment instruments are equipped with suction devices, but
This suction device is a very local device for removing tooth shavings and the like from the affected area, which obstructs the dentist's treatment work, and cannot completely suction the blood and saliva mentioned above. In addition, to protect dentists from infectious diseases, it is recommended to use a mask, glasses, a protective hood, and two gloves. cannot be prevented.

Many dentists know this from experience. Furthermore, in the case of dental treatment, as in the case of surgical operations, it would be good if not only the masks, glasses, and protective hood and gloves used, but also the operating room itself could be sterilized after each operation. For dentists who have an overwhelmingly large number of patients, it is difficult to say that it is realistic to perform such a procedure.

For the above reasons, it is an urgent issue for dentists to establish a method to prevent infection with the AIDS virus. The same can be said of the dentist's assistants and caregivers, as well as other patients in the dental clinic.

This transparent part 2 is made of plastic or glass. In addition, the dustproof plate A is movably installed in front of the patient's face, but the dustproof plate A is attached to an arm that can be bent forward, backward, left and right, and this arm is mounted on a stand or wall near the treatment table. This is possible by fixing it.

It cleans and removes blood, tooth shavings, cooling spray droplets, etc. When dental treatment is performed through the dustproof plate A, saliva, blood, tooth shavings, droplets of cooling spray, etc. naturally adhere to the inner surface of the plate. When the amount of adhesion increases, visibility of the transparent portion 2 of the plate becomes poor, making it impossible to continue treatment. This cleaning means B eliminates this inconvenience. Specifically, there are a wiper type and an air injection device type. The former is similar to a car wiper, in which the wiper blade 4 is moved continuously or intermittently to clean and remove deposits on the inner surface of the transparent part 2, thereby improving the visibility of the transparent part 2. (See Figure 1). On the other hand, in the latter case, an air outlet 5 is provided at the upper part of the inner surface of the dustproof plate A, and air is constantly blown out from there in a curtain-like manner to remove the patient's saliva and blood.

The suction means C is provided on the inner surface of the dustproof plate, and collects saliva, blood, tooth shavings, droplets of cooling spray, etc. before adhering to the inner surface of the transparent portion 2, or the above after adhering to the inner surface of the transparent portion 2. Saliva and blood cleaned and removed by cleaning means B,
This is to discharge tooth shavings, cooling spray droplets, etc. to the outside of the dustproof plate A. When the cleaning means B is an air injection system, saliva and blood are removed.

Teeth shavings, splashes of cooling spray, etc. are scraped off with a wiper blade 4, which is sucked into a suction nozzle 6 and discharged to the outside of the dustproof plate A. In the drawing, a suction nozzle 6 is installed on the lower inner surface of the rising part 1 of the dustproof plate A.
Although an embodiment is shown in which only one is provided, it goes without saying that a plurality of such may be provided.

Since the present invention adopts the configuration as described above, it has the following effects. That is, in the present invention, since a dustproof plate having a transparent part is interposed between the operator and the patient, even if the patient is a carrier of the AIDS virus, the patient's saliva scattered during dental treatment, Blood, tooth shavings, cooling spray droplets, etc. are all blocked by the dustproof plate, preventing not only the surgeon, but also their assistants and caretakers, as well as other patients in the dental clinic, from being infected with the AIDS virus. can do. Moreover, since the transparent part is equipped with a cleaning means, there is no risk of interfering with dental treatment, and since it is equipped with a suction means,
The patient's saliva, blood, tooth shavings, droplets from the cooling spray, etc. are all sucked up and there is no risk of the patient inhaling them, so the patient will not feel uncomfortable.
