Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable continuous discharge of fixed volume of waste aud dehydration thereof by reducing the pitch and the height of blades of a screw feeder gradually toward the discharge side, employing a cone type porous casing as a discharging section and providing a scraping blade for discharging dregs to an outlet cone. CONSTITUTION:Aqueous dregs thrown into a hopper 4 is carried through a screw feeder to a casing section 5 at the discharging section, where the diameter and the pitch of a screw blade 1 contacting with the casing section 5 are reduced gradually toward the outlet side of the casing section 5. Volume between the blades is reduced gradually so as to reduce the volume of dregs placed between the blades and compress the dregs thus carrying out first stage dehydration. A bladeless section 11 is provided at the outlet section, and dregs being fed from upstream pushes out the stagnating dregs thus carrying out second stage dehydration.
