本考案は、エスカレータ等の乗客コンベアの案

一般に、エスカレータにおける駆動機構は、第
３図に示すように構成されている。即ち、移動手
摺１は、無端状に接続され、欄干２上に設けた移
動手摺ガイド３、上下折返し部に設けられるゲー
トローラ（図示せず）およびトラス５内に設けら
れた案内ローラ６等によつて支持案内され、か
つ、駆動スプロケツト４によつて駆動される駆動
プーリ７によつてステツプの移動速度に同期する
よう駆動されるようになつている。

は、案内ローラ６の表面を清掃する以外に解決手
段はないが、ステツプを外し、かつ、スカートガ
ードや移動手摺を外さなければ作業ができず、実
際上この作業を行うことは極めてむずかしいとい
うのが現状であつた。
