設けるには、一般に、シェルモルト等で中子を作り、こ
の中子を軽合金鋳物で鋳包み、冷えて固まってから、中
子を砕き小さい孔を通して、中子砂を取除いて洗浄して
、中子部分が中空になって残るようにしている。中子砂
は熱容量が大きいため、中空部分の肉厚さが最低4馴以
上ないとIS造が困難である。又、中子の形状が中子砂
取出しのため制約があって、薄肉で剛性を保つには限界
があり、砂出し作業も手間がかかつて製造コストが高く
つく不都合がある。  ゛〔発明の目的〕 この発明は、軽合金鋳物の中空部分の中子を発泡アルミ
ニウムで形成し、中子を取出すことなく使用でき、中子
の形状が自由にできて、薄肉で剛性が保てて一層軽量化
ができ、作業能率もよくてコストダウンが図れる軽合金
鋳物を得ることを目的とする。

ができる。又、発泡アルミニウムは、加工性がよく、複
雑な形状にもできる。そして、発泡アルミニウムの中子
7は、通気性があり、軽合金鋳物の鋳造時に巣ができる
ことも少ない。

が図れる。そして、発泡アルミニウムの中子は軽量で、
軽合金鋳物との濡れ性もよく、肉厚さを薄くできて、剛
性を保ちながら軽量化ができる。又、発泡アルミニウム
の中子は加工性がよく、取出す必要がないので、形状が
複雑のものでもよい。更に、発泡アルミニウムの中子の
端が突出しているような場合で、軽合金鋳物の外径等を
切削加工するような場合、同時に切削加工ができ、切削
歯物も損まない。
