Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a printer of a good cost performance which conforms to an apparatus of various kinds of process speeds, by a method wherein a printer is so constructed as to be able to have a plurality of drawing control parts which draw a code data in a dot image, a printing data of one page content received from a host unit is divided into n-pieces to be edited and respective divided pieces make n-drawing control parts perform drawing for printing. CONSTITUTION:A printing data sent from a host unit is received by a control part 1 and stored in a page buffer 2. An editing means located on the control part 1 performs n-divided edition in the manner that, based upon the line-shift information covering one page, several lines content for before and after the line being divided may overlap with other. With respect to each of drawing module 3, the drawing starting position information is imparted by the control part 1 after calculation.
