Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately estimate the service life of a filter, by detecting fouling of air with a gas-sensor and calculating a fouling factor from degree of fouling, air capacity and energizing time in an arithmetic part. CONSTITUTION:A main body 1 of the air cleaner is provided with an air blower 2 having a fan, an air filter 3 and a gas-sensor 4 which detects fouling air. A control part 5 is provided with the arithmetic part 6, which calculates from the deta detected with the gas-sensor 4, the air capacity in the blower 2 and the operation time, a storage part 7 for the deta and a display 8. then the fouling factor of filter calculated with the part 6 is accumulatively stored in the storage part 7 and the accumulated value is displayed on the display part unit 8 when it exceeds the specified value. Thus the degree of fouling of the filter is accurately displayed.

Some conventional air purifiers display a 2-basis scale depending on how dirty the air filter is. In this type of air purifier, a color sample sticker is generally attached to the support frame of the air filter, and by operating the air purifier,
The lifespan of the air filter was determined by visually comparing the color of the air filter, which had changed color due to adhesion of dust, with the color seal.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, with such a conventional configuration, the air filter of an air purifier turns black relatively soon after it is used, but the actual dust collection efficiency generally depends on the air filter. By the time it turned black, it had not gotten much lower;
Since the air filter can still be used for a considerable period of time, it is difficult to visually determine when it is time to clean or replace it based on changes in the color of the air filter.

Means for Solving the Problem In order to solve this problem, the present invention includes an air filter that purifies the air in the air flow path of the blower, a gas sensor that detects air pollution, and this gas sensor. a calculation unit that calculates a filter dirt coefficient by performing calculations from data on the degree of dirtiness of the detected air, the air volume of the blowing unit, and operating time; and a non-volatile data storage unit that cumulatively stores the filter dirt coefficient calculated by this calculation unit. The non-volatile data storage section includes a display section that displays the information when the value accumulated in the non-volatile data storage section exceeds a certain value.

With this configuration, the gas sensor detects the pollution in the surrounding air, and the calculation unit calculates an appropriate value based on the degree of air pollution, the air volume of the blower, and the energization time, and converts this value into non-volatile data. By cumulatively storing the information in the storage unit, the lifespan of the air filter can be accurately determined and displayed.

. It should be noted that since the non-volatile memory cumulatively stores the values calculated in the arithmetic unit, the cumulative value up to now, that is, the degree of dirtiness of the air filter, will not be lost even if the power is turned off.

EXAMPLE An example of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. That is, an air blowing section 2 having a fan is provided in the main body 1 of the air purifier having a vent, an air filter 3 and a gas sensor 4 for detecting dirt in the air are provided in the air flow path of this blowing section 2, and a control section 6 includes a non-volatile data storage unit 7 that cumulatively stores data on the degree of air contamination detected by the gas sensor 4 and the contamination coefficient of the air blower 2;
A display section 8 is provided which displays when the value cumulatively stored in the non-volatile data storage section 7 exceeds a certain value. Then, the input switch 9 is maintained in the calculation section 6, and the operation of the blower section 2 is controlled.

In the above configuration, when the input switch 9 is operated to set the desired air flow rate, the command from the calculation unit 6 is given to 5. Therefore, the ventilation unit 2 starts operating, and the dirt in the air passes through the air filter 3. As a result, the polluted air is purified and purified. On the other hand, the gas sensor 4 detects the degree of air pollution and sends the signal to the calculation section 6. Then, the calculation unit 6 performs calculations from the data on the degree of air contamination obtained from the gas sensor 4, the air volume and operating time of the blower unit 2, calculates a so-called filter dirt coefficient, and stores this value in the non-volatile data storage unit 7. Cumulatively stored in memory. Also,
The calculation unit 6 constantly monitors the value of the filter dirt coefficient accumulated in the nonvolatile data storage unit 7, and when this value exceeds a certain value, it determines that the air filter 3 has reached the end of its life, and displays it on the display unit 8. By doing so, it is notified that the air filter 3 needs to be cleaned and replaced.

Calculation is performed from the air volume and operating time, and the filter dirt coefficient calculated by the calculation unit is cumulatively stored in the non-volatile data storage unit.The air filter is equipped with a display unit that displays when the cumulatively stored value exceeds a certain value. The degree of contamination of the air filter can be displayed more accurately, and even if the power is turned off, the cumulative value up to now, that is, the degree of contamination of the air filter, can be prevented from being lost.
