Claims

[Scope of Claim for Utility Model Registration] A loading mechanism for moving a cassette container into which a cassette is inserted back and forth to a position directly above a recording/playback device, and then moving it downward from the position directly above to a playback position where it is set in the recording/playback device. A tape cassette having a slide plate provided in the cassette container so as to be able to slide back and forth; the lower cover of the cassette that engages with the slide plate being opened by sliding the tape cassette back and forth as described above by the movement of a slide lever. 1. A tape cassette loading device, characterized in that a locking plate that locks the slide lever in front of the position directly above it during the back-and-forth movement is attached to the main body of the device so as to be elastically movable in the front-back direction.
