For example, the watertight device shown in Figure 1 has been proposed and implemented as a watertight device for a window sill that holds the glass under pressure between a raised edge secured to the indoor side of the window sill and an upright wall on the outside side of the bottom frame. ing. That is, in the figure, a window lower frame A is composed of a lower frame main body 2 and a T-shaped member 3. The lower end of the glass 1 is held in place by the outdoor side of the lower frame A and the ridge 4. The lower frame main body 2 includes an upright wall 2b above the indoor end of the plate portion 2a, and a horizontal shelf edge 2e protrudes toward the outdoor side near the upper end of the upright wall 2b. and,
This main body 2 is fixed by screwing mounting edges 2c and 2d formed on the outdoor side and the indoor side to a lower structural member 5 of a window opening of a house. Next, the T-shaped member 3 is formed by forming a long vertical outdoor standing wall 3a and a horizontal glass receiving plate part 3b into a T-shape like the lower frame main body 2, and a bead material is attached to the upper end of the standing wall 3a. 14a is engaged, and the lower end is engaged with the engagement groove 8a.
is engaged with a protrusion 10 formed protrudingly on the dish plate part 2a of the lower frame main body 2, and the tip of the receiving plate part 3b is placed on the shelf edge 2e of the lower frame main body 2. In addition, the above T
A locking protrusion 12 is provided at the tip of the receiving plate portion 3b of the shaped member 3.
a is formed, and a ridge locking groove 12b is formed at the base thereof. The glass 1 is placed on the receiving plate part 3b via the setting block 13, and its lower outdoor side surface is in contact with the inner surface of the upper part of the upright wall of the T-shaped member 3 via the bead material 14a. The inside of the lower chamber of the glass 1 is pressed down by a rim 4. The raised edge 4 has leg parts 4b and 4c hanging from both indoor and outdoor ends of the upper surface part 4a in which the condensation water receiving groove 15 is formed, and a locking part 4d extending from the lower end of the outdoor leg part 4b to the outdoor side. In addition, the lower end of the indoor leg piece 4c is provided with a locking groove 16, and the locking piece 4d and the locking groove 16 are respectively connected to the locking groove 12b and the locking protrusion of the receiving plate part 3b. The bead material 14b is pushed into the upper end of the outdoor leg portion 4b, and the glass 1 is held between the upright wall portion 3a of the T-shaped member 3 and the ridge 4 under pressure. Reference numeral 20 denotes a cover material, in which a locking portion between the indoor side leg portion 4c of the ridge 4 and the receiving plate portion 3b of the T-shaped member 3, which contact each other near the upper end of the indoor side standing wall 2b of the lower frame main body 2, is located indoors. Prevents exposure to. However, as described above, the configuration in which the same receiving plate portion 3b forms the locking portion of the ridge 4 on the indoor side and the outdoor side causes rainwater to seep indoors from the locking portion. Moreover, since not only the ridge 4 but also the indoor upright wall 2b and the cover material 20 are connected to this locking portion in contact with each other, water leaks from these contact portions as well. That is, since both the receiving member of the glass 1 and the receiving member of the rim 4 are the receiving plate portion 3b, and this receiving plate portion 3b is approximately horizontal, the lower side surface of the glass 1 and the bead material 14a are not easily connected to each other during strong winds, for example. Rainwater that has entered between the holes collects on the receiving plate portion 3b and further advances to the locking portion with the ridge 4. In this case, when the wind is strong, the upper spaces s 1 and s 1 ′ of the receiving plate portion 3b in the lower frame are defined by the receiving plate portion 3b, so the air in the spaces s 1 and s 1 ′ is The rainwater is pushed indoors through the gap between the locking portions 4 and oozes indoors as the air moves. On the other hand, the lower end surface of the upright wall 3a of the T-shaped member 3 engages with the plate portion 2a of the lower frame body, and a drain hole 22 is formed in a part of this engagement portion. Therefore, when rainwater enters the space s2 above the plate part from this engaging part during strong winds, the internal pressure in this space s2 becomes higher than the indoor internal pressure and raindrops are generated, as in the above case. Since the air enters the indoor side through the gaps between the upright wall 2b and the cover material 20 and the receiving plate 3b and the cover material 20, rainwater oozes out.

The edge 4 has leg pieces 4b and 4c hanging from both indoor and outdoor ends of the upper surface 4a, which has a condensation water receiving groove 15 and a bead material locking protrusion 4e, respectively, as in the conventional case, and an outdoor leg piece. A locking piece 4d is extended from the lower end of 4b to the outdoor side, and an indoor leg piece 4c
A locking groove 16 is provided at the lower end. In addition, a communication port 31 is formed corresponding to the attachment position of at least the holding piece 27 of the locking piece 4d of the ridge 4 configured as described above. The ridge 4 locks the outdoor locking piece 4d between the ridge locking protrusion 25b of the lower frame body 23 and the holding table piece 27, and also engages the locking groove 16 of the indoor leg 4c. It is attached by locking the edge locking protrusion 24b of the lower frame body. At this time, a glass receiving groove 9 is formed between the outdoor leg portion 4b of the ridge 4 and the upper part of the outer wall 25 of the lower frame body. Furthermore, a space S1 is formed between the ridge 4 and the plate portion 23a and the inner and outer walls 24 and 25 of the lower frame main body 23, so that the lower frame B is configured as a hollow body. The frame strength is extremely high.

Next, when fitting and fixing the glass 1 into the glass receiving groove 9 of the lower frame main body 23 configured as described above, the setting block 13 is placed on the holding base piece 27 that appears below the communication opening 31 of the ridge 4. Place the block 1
3, place the glass 1 on top of the bead material 14b and push the bead material 14b between the bead material engaging protrusion 4e of the rim 4 and the indoor side surface of the glass 1. Hold glass 1 under pressure. At this time, since the upper end opening of the glass receiving groove 9 is closed by the attachment of the glass 1 and the bead material 14b, there is a space S 2 in the glass receiving groove 9 that is independent of the space S 1 . is formed.

In this way, since the glass 1 is provided on the holding table piece 27 in the glass receiving groove 9 having the above structure, the glass 1 can be placed in the same position as in the conventional device.
Therefore, there is no need to particularly increase the size of the glass 1. The outdoor end locking portion of the ridge 4 is formed between the protrusion 25b of the outer wall 25 and the holding piece 27, and the indoor end locking portion is formed between the upper end 24b of the inner wall 24.
However, since all of the locking portions are at exactly the same positions as the conventional locking portions, there is no need to change the shape of the ridge 4.

In the device with the above configuration, the glass holding piece 2
7 is short, and furthermore, this holding table piece 27 and the indoor locking part of the ridge 4 are separated and not directly continuous, so even if rainwater enters from between the bead material 14a and the glass 1. In this case, rainwater immediately falls onto the dish plate portion 23a from the communication port 31, flows down the sloped surface thereof, and is discharged from the drain/air vent hole 30. At this time, since the locking part between the ridge 4 and the inner wall 24 is separated from the holding table piece 27 through which rainwater flows, rainwater cannot reach the locking part and therefore does not seep into the indoor side. . In particular, as mentioned above, the spaces S 1 and S 2 are formed in the upper and lower parts of the lower frame, but the outer wall 25 has drainage and air holes 3.
0 is formed, the lower space S 1 communicates with the outside air through the hole 30, and the upper space S 2 communicates with the outside air through the hole 30.
Because the communication port 31 communicates with the lower space S 1 , the spaces S 1 and S 2 communicate with the outside. Therefore, the external pressure and the internal pressure in the spaces S 1 and S 2 are all equal. Therefore, even if rainwater enters between the upper spaces S 1 and S 2 of the lower frame from between the glass 1 and the outdoor bead 14a, the internal pressure of this space is equal to the external pressure, so the rainwater will not flow as described above. Communication port 3
1 and the drain/air hole 30, and does not enter the room through the lug locking part. Note that, in normal cases, it is sufficient to form two such drainage and air holes 30 at both ends of the lower frame 23 and at the lower end of the outdoor side upright wall 25.

In addition, since the upper end engaging part of the cover material 20 is located behind the engaging part between the ridge 4 and the inner wall 24,
As long as rainwater does not seep in from the locking part, rainwater will not seep in from the upper end engagement part of the cover material 20.

According to this device, the glass can be held on the glass holding base formed by the holding base piece, so there is no need to provide a separate horizontal piece on the plate. Secondly, the glass receiving groove is always in communication with the outside air through the communication hole in the ridge and the water drain/air vent hole on the outer wall, so the space formed in the sill is not sealed, and since the horizontal piece of the sill body is formed only by the plate, rainwater that has entered the space in the sill can be drained well. Furthermore, even if wind and rain blow in through the water drain/air vent hole, the holding base piece is located at this position, so the wind and rain are blocked by this holding piece and do not blow directly up to the top of the sill.
