Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a clear image by impressing a voltage with reverse polarity against a signal voltage to be applied to a recording electrode to an electrode for an erasing member to erase charge left on the surface of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A plate-like electrode 16 is fitted to the recording medium side end part of a rod-like permanent magnet 15 for an erasing means 14. When the recording medium 1 sticking toner 9 is passed through the erasing means 14, the toner 9 stuck to the surface of the recording medium 1 is scraped and dropped by a toner brush 17 formed on the surface of the electrode 16 and the voltage with reverse polarity against the voltage of the recording electrode 10 is simultaneously impressed to the electrode 16. In an induced layer 11 of the recording medium 1, minus charge induced at the time of development and plus charge induced at the time of erasing are neutrarized. Consequently, an image can be erased without lefting charge on the recording medium 1 at the time of erasing and the clear image can be obtained.

(Prior Art) Conventionally, as this type of board recording device, the following have been proposed. As shown in Fig. gS6, an endless belt-shaped recording medium 102 is wound between a pair of rollers 100 and 101, and seven image forming stages 103 are provided at a position facing one of the rollers 101. . (Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, such prior art has the following problems. That is, the image recording process
As shown in FIG.
is grounded, and the positively charged toner 107 is caused to adhere to the surface of the insulating layer 110 of the recording medium by electrostatic force, thereby forming an image. Toner 1 attached to the surface of this insulating layer 110
07 is rubbed and removed by the cleaning means 108, but if the electrical resistance of the insulating layer 110 made of a dielectric material is high or the time constant is large, the charge of the toner 107 remains in the insulating layer 110 without being leaked. When the residual charge becomes 111 (FIG. 7(a)), development is performed again in this state.

Therefore, in order to solve this problem, it is possible to reduce the electrical resistance of the insulating layer 110.
If the resistance of 'O is low, the electric charge of the toner 107 will leak, making it difficult for the toner 107 to adhere to the recording medium 102, resulting in a new problem that the density of one image will be reduced.

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of a board recording device according to the present invention. 1 is a recording medium formed in the shape of an endless belt,
The recording medium 1 is wound around a pair of rollers 2 and 3 that are arranged vertically opposite each other, and the recording medium 1 is wrapped around a pair of rollers 2 and 3 that are arranged vertically opposite each other.
It is supported planarly and movably by tF. This recording medium 1 is driven in the direction of the arrow during image formation. A means 6 for forming an image by depositing toner 9 as a coloring substance on the recording medium 1 according to image information is disposed at the lowest position of the circulation path of the recording medium 1, that is, at a position facing the roller 3. It is set up.

The image forming means 6 employs a so-called magnetic stylus system known from Japanese Patent Publication No. 51-46707 and the like. That is, as shown in FIG. 2, the principle is that a cylindrical magnet 8 is rotated within a non-magnetic cylinder 7, and conductive magnetic toner 9 colored black or the like is spread over the non-magnetic cylinder 7.
is conveyed to pass over needle-shaped recording electrodes 10 made of magnetic material that are densely arranged along the axial direction on the non-magnetic cylinder 7. Thus, a voltage is applied between the recording electrode 10 and the conductive layer 12 of the recording medium 1, which is composed of the insulating layer 11 on the front side and the conductive layer 12 on the back side, and only the portion to which the voltage is applied is recorded. An image is formed by attaching toner 9 to a medium 1.

That is, while moving the recording medium 1 at a predetermined speed, a voltage of +30 to +200 V corresponding to image information is applied between the recording electrode 10 and the conductive layer 12 of the recording medium 1, and the dielectric layer 1
1 to induce a negative charge on the surface of the recording medium 1.
Next, to erase the image formed on the recording medium 1, the recording medium 1 to which the toner 9 has adhered is passed through the erasing means 14. By doing so, the toner brush 17 formed on the surface of the electrode 16 of the erasing means 14 rubs and removes the toner 9 adhering to the surface of the recording medium 1. At the same time,
A voltage V' having a polarity opposite to that of the recording electrode 10, -Zoo≦V'<OV, more preferably -30≦V'≦-5V, is applied to the electrode 16 of the erasing means 14. As a result, as shown in FIG. 3(0), the toner on the electrode 16 of the erasing means 14 is negatively charged, and a positive charge is induced in the dielectric layer 11. As a result, in the dielectric layer 11 of the recording medium 1, the negative charges induced during development and the positive charges induced during erasing are neutralized, and after erasing, as shown in FIG. , dielectric layer 1
Since there is no charge remaining in 1, at the time of secondary development, only the adhesion of toner 9 due to new development is performed, as shown in Figure 3), and the excess toner adheres and smudges the image. Clear images can be obtained without any problems.
