Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain effective utilization of a radio wave by providing coding/decoding circuits of plural kinds provided at each plural service kinds of a public communication network and a synthesis circuit connecting the input/output of a radio transmitter- receiver with the plural kinds of coding/decoding circuits as a connection means between a radio transmitter and a public communication network. CONSTITUTION:In an equipment of a base station, a connection device 13 is connected to a telephone communication network 11 being a public communication network and a digital communication network 12. The connecting device 13 connects to coding/ decoding circuits 14-17 different from the service kind and the coder side terminal is connected to the synthesis circuit 18. The serial signal side terminal of the synthesis circuit 18 is connected to a transmitter-receiver circuit 19. A radio wave is sent in a radio frequency assigned from the transmission/reception circuit 19. Then the coder/ decoder circuits 14-17 having a different function corresponding to the different service class such as telephone(DP, PB, digital), facsimile(G2, G3), telex and data communication are provided. The signal from the coder/decoder circuits 14-17 is a parallel signal, the synthesis circuit 18 converts it into a serial signal and gives the signal to the transmission/reception circuit 19.

Connection between the public communication network and the base station wireless transmitting/receiving device is performed by a code/decoding circuit provided for each service type, and a combining circuit that converts parallel data of the code/decoding circuit and serial data of the transmitting/receiving device. Radio line signals use a common radio frequency and a common base station device for signal transmission of these different service types. The radio link signal includes a predetermined pre-signal and a subsequent information signal. A signal transmitted by a base station device and a radio signal transmitted by a mobile station device each include a code for identifying the service type in a prefix signal thereof. The radio signal received by the base station device is input to an appropriate code/decoder according to the service type of the prefix signal. Further, for calls from the public communication network to the base station device, different subscriber numbers are assigned for each service type, and a coding/decoding circuit is connected in correspondence with the subscriber number. As a result, the correct code/decoder is connected to the transmission signal from the radio base station as well.
