Abstract

PURPOSE:To discriminate and receive a vehicle without stopping it by attaching a bar code plate to the vehicle and reading these bar code data by a laser scanner. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle 1 containing a bar code plate 2 passes through within a range distant from a laser scanner 3 at a fixed speed, the scanner 3 deflects the laser beam up and down to read the data on the passing bar code. The read data is processed by a data processor 4. Thus the vehicle 1 can pass a fixed place and received with no stoppage. Then many vehicles can be discriminated in a short period.
