FIG. 4 shows the principle of operation of the yarn breakage detector described above. The yarn 1 fed from the yarn feeding device is stationary when it is not being supplied to the knitting machine, but when it is being supplied to the knitting machine, it causes an oscillating motion due to vibrations accompanying the yarn feeding. This thread 1 is inserted between the light emitting part and the light receiving part of the thread breakage detector 2, but this thread 1 periodically blocks the detection light 3 of the thread breakage detector 2, causing the thread breakage detector 2 to emit pulses. A signal A (see FIG. 5) is output. The period at which yarn 1 blocks detection light 3 is t, and yarn 1 is sent to the knitting machine.
If the above-mentioned signal A is manually inputted to the timer circuit 4 having a time limit T larger than t and T', the timer circuit 4 outputs the thread breakage signal B (Fig. 5), which indicates the thread breakage. ) can be obtained.

In such a knitting machine, a needle selection solenoid 6 attached to the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder 5 performs pattern knitting, and a yarn path solenoid 7 selects the yarn to be used. This thread path solenoid 7 selects the thread to be used from among a plurality of threads, and the selected thread is placed in a supply state, and the other threads that are not selected are placed in a non-supply state.

However, for yarns that are in the feeding state, the yarn breakage detector 2 described above in FIG. Therefore, conventionally, as described above, it was necessary to set a large time delay T for yarn breakage detection in advance, taking into consideration the frequency with which the yarn is used by the knitting machine. However, the frequency of using thread generally varies depending on the pattern of the product.
Since the time delay T cannot be determined in terms of -i, the time delay T must be determined by taking into account the time required to knit one product. Therefore, even if yarn breakage actually occurs, the knitting machine operates without being supplied with yarn during the set time delay T.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a yarn feeder control circuit for a knitting machine that can eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks and promptly detect breakage of yarn being supplied to the knitting machine.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a system that only when a drive signal for driving a yarn feeding device that selects yarn to be fed to a knitting machine indicates that yarn feeding is in progress. The present invention is characterized in that a yarn breakage detection signal from a yarn breakage detector that detects a breakage in the yarn supplied to the knitting machine is output as a valid signal.

In the present invention, when the drive signal of the yarn feeding device indicates that the yarn is in the feeding state, the signal of the yarn breakage detector is enabled to obtain the yarn breakage signal, so the time period during which the yarn is not in the feeding state is There is no need to set the timer circuit, and yarn breakage that occurs during yarn feeding can be quickly detected.

FIG. 1 shows a schematic configuration of an embodiment of the present invention. In this figure, 9 is a control circuit according to the present invention detailed in FIG.
This control circuit 9 inputs the detection signal A from the yarn breakage detector 2 and the yarn path selection signal C/D applied to the yarn path solenoid 7, and the yarn path selection signal (yarn feeder drive signal) Only when it is indicated that the thread is being supplied to the knitting machine, the detection signal A of the thread breakage detector 2 is enabled and the thread breakage signal F is output.

In the figure, reference numeral 10 denotes a flip-flop, which is set by a set pulse signal C of the yarn path selection signal, reset by a reset pulse signal of the yarn path selection signal, and outputs a signal E corresponding to the yarn supply state. The above-mentioned set pulse No. 18C and reset pulse signal are thread path solenoid 7.
The yarn path solenoid 7 sets the yarn l to the supply side with the set pulse signal C, and changes the yarn to the non-supply side with the reset pulse signal. Reference numeral 11 denotes an ant gate that performs an AND operation between the output signal E of the flip-flop 10 and the output signal of the timer circuit 4, and makes the output signal of the timer circuit 4 valid only when the signal E or H (high) level is reached. Output as thread breakage signal F.

Next, the operation of the control circuit 9 shown in FIG. 2 will be explained with reference to the timing chart shown in FIG. As shown in FIG. 2, the set pulse signal C moves the yarn path solenoid 7 to the supply side, and the yarn 1 is supplied to the knitting machine. Furthermore, the yarn path solenoid 7 is moved to the non-supply side by the reset pulse signal, and the yarn 1 is placed in a non-supply state. Since this set pulse signal C is input to the set input terminal S of the flip-flop 10, and the reset pulse signal is input to the reset input terminal R of the flip-flop 10, a signal E( (see FIG. 3) is output from the flip-flop 10. On the other hand, the output signal A of the thread breakage detector 2 is sent to the timer circuit 4, and the timer circuit 4 outputs a signal B indicating thread breakage. A thread breakage signal F is obtained by ANDing the signal E output from the flip-flop 10 described above and the output signal B of the timer circuit 4 using an AND gate 11.

At this time, the time limit T of the timer circuit 4 may be made somewhat larger than the cycle t during which the thread 1 blocks the detection light. That is, generally, the relationship between the period t during which the yarn 1 blocks the detection light and the time T' during which the yarn 1 is not supplied to the knitting machine is t<T'. Therefore,
Compared to the conventional method, in this embodiment, the time limit T of the timer circuit 4 is
becomes small, and when a thread breakage occurs, it becomes possible to promptly detect the thread breakage.
