ルチル酸ナトリウム、安息香酸ナトリウム、安息
香酸カリウムは吸湿性があつて、湿度の高い地域
では吸湿して点火し難く、実用的でない。又、サ
ルチル酸カリウムは医薬品に使用されていて高価
ゆえ、低廉な花火となし得ない欠点があつた。

火は多湿状態の下においても容易に点火できて笛
音を伴う打揚げ花火を観賞することができる。ま
た、フタル酸水素カリウム、フタル酸カリウムは
工業用原料であるから、同じ還元剤として使用さ
れている従来のサルチル酸ナトリウム、サルチル
酸カリウムのような医薬品となるものに比べて著
しく低廉であり、製品価格を大幅に低減すること
ができる。
