(Prior Art) A headrest manufacturing method in which a polyurethane stock solution is injected into a bag-shaped headrest cover and foamed to form and integrate a polyurethane foam inside the headrest cover is as described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 118437/1983. Then, the opening is covered from the inside with a non-woven fabric, and a polyurethane stock solution is injected through the gap between the non-woven fabric and the skin to form foam.
As seen in Publication No. 10152, there is a known method of attaching a magic fastener to the opening and injecting the polyurethane stock solution, then closing the opening and foaming. However, with these methods, the material cost of the nonwoven fabric and magic fastener is It requires a lot of man-hours to install, and there are disadvantages such as the formation of a step at the end.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The headrest manufacturing method of the present invention is a headrest manufacturing method in which a polyurethane stock solution is injected and foamed into a bag-shaped headrest force bar, and a polyurethane foam is molded and integrated into a headrest cover. In this step, a bag-shaped headrest cover is sewn so that an overlapping part covered with an outer covering piece is formed in a part thereof, and a polyurethane solution is applied to the part of the overlapping part covered by the outer covering piece. After arranging a flow path and injecting the polyurethane stock solution into the headrest cover by flipping over the outer cover piece, the outer cover pieces are overlapped and foamed, so that the polyurethane stock solution that is about to flow out from the flow path will fill the overlapping area. This is characterized in that the outer covering piece is glued.

The fabric of the bag-shaped headrest cover used in the present invention may be a fabric fabric, a variety of leather fabrics, or a fabric with a thin insulator layer formed on the back side of the outer fabric. It is assumed that a double overlapping part is formed in a part of the headrest cover, in which the outer covering pieces extending from the headrest cover are overlapped. Since this overlapping part usually needs to have a notch-like opening for inserting the stay fitting, the outer covering piece in the part adjacent to this opening closes the opening. It is common for them to serve as both. In addition, whether the flow path for the polyurethane stock solution is a thank-you note or a slit, the main point is that the polyurethane stock solution flows out appropriately during foaming through this flow path, and the outer cover pieces in the overlapping part are properly bonded. It's fine if you can do it.

(Example) Next, an example of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. +13 is a mold for foam molding, the mold (11 is a pair of split molds (1a), (1a) and its opening (
It consists of a lid mold (1b) that closes the mold (1c).
) has a notch-shaped opening (3) for inserting the stay fitting.
) is formed so that the opening (3) faces the opening (IC), and with the outer cover piece (5) turned over, open the opening (IC).
Set the stay fitting (8) in the headrest cover (4) through the opening (3) and the stay fitting (8) so that only its legs (8a) and (8a) protrude outside. The headrest cover (4) is sewn from a fabric with a thin layer of polyurethane foam integrated on the back side of the fabric, and an outer covering piece (5) is continuously provided on the negative side edge of the opening (3). The outer covering piece portion (5) covers the portion (4a) following the other side edge of the opening (3) so as to close the opening (3), and forms an overlapping portion. A slit-shaped flow path (7) through which the polyurethane stock solution can flow is provided in a portion (4a) following the other side edge of the opening (3). The flow path (7) is located slightly inside the end of the outer covering piece (5), that is, the polyurethane stock solution is foamed in the foaming process, and the bag-shaped headrest cover (4) is placed inside the mold (110). Even when the cavity size expands all at once, the end of the outer cover piece (5) is positioned so that it does not touch the flow path (7) to prevent leakage of the polyurethane stock solution onto the product surface. ) shall be of such a shape, size, and number as to provide sufficient adhesive strength between the polyurethane foam and the back surface of the outer covering piece (4), and to prevent unnecessary leakage of the polyurethane stock solution. When the cover (4) and the stay fitting (8) are inserted into the mold fil, the stock solution injection nozzle (9) is inserted through the opening (IC) and the opening (3).
) into the headrest cover (4), and after injecting the polyurethane stock solution, pull out the stock solution injection nozzle (9) and insert the outer cover into the part (4a) of the headrest cover (4) that follows the other side edge of the opening (3). After the pieces (5) are brought into contact to form an overlapping part, the opening (1c) is closed with the lid mold (1b), and if the polyurethane stock solution is foamed in this state, a part of the polyurethane stock solution will flow during foaming. The channel (7) reaches the back surface of the outer covering piece (5), and when foaming is completed, this flow channel (7)
The material that circulated more exhibits adhesive ability and the outer cover piece (5) is completely bonded and integrated, and this adhesion is performed while being pressed against the lid mold (1b) by the foaming expansion pressure. Therefore, the outer cover piece (5) does not form a noticeable step on the surface of the headrest cover (4) or the surface becomes dirty due to liquid leakage. If you bend it and add an outstitch, you can more reliably prevent the polyurethane solution from leaking.

(Effects of the Invention) As is clear from the above description, the present invention provides a part of the headrest cover with an overlapping part covered with an outer cover piece, and has a flow path covered by the outer cover piece inside the overlapping part. The polyurethane stock solution injected into the headrest cover is made to reach the back side of the outer covering piece through the flow path during foam molding, and this overlapping part is bonded, which not only looks good but also has strong adhesive strength. This method has the advantage of being able to mass-produce products of excellent quality in a simple manner and at low cost, and it will greatly contribute to the development of the industry as it solves the problems of the conventional manufacturing method for this type of headrest.
