Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the adhesion of liquid to a position where a difficult occurs by exposure to the liquid and the decrease of washability by lessening the use quantity of the liquid, by a method wherein the surface of an impression cylinder in rotation is clearly wiped off with a brush and the brush is stopped by turning the circumferential surface of a brush roller into which the brush is not planted onto the impression cylinder side when no washing is performed. CONSTITUTION:A washing liquid feed pump 6 is operated and the washing liquid 4 is fed into a container. The filling quantity of the washing liquid is detected with liquid surface detecting switch 10 and the pump is stopped when coming full of a suitable quantity. The purpose of a check valve 11 is to prevent the reflux of filling liquid after stopping the pump. Then, the impression cylinder 1 is rotated, and at the same time, the brush roller 2 is also rotated to obtain a washing state. When the washing of the impression cylinder is completed, a motor 5 is stopped, and at the same time, a brake is also set. Then, a vacuum pump is actuated and the residual liquid in the container is extracted. As mentioned above, the washing of the impression cylinder is completed and the operation of printing is started again.

When printing on paper that is smaller than the surface area of the impression cylinder, the surface of the impression cylinder that protrudes from the paper surface comes into direct contact with the blanket cylinder, and residual ink adheres thereto.

The remaining ink that has adhered and accumulated on the surface of the impression cylinder will adhere to the back side (the surface in contact with the impression cylinder) the next time a large sheet of paper is printed, and will stain it.

Therefore, after printing a small size paper, when switching the paper size to a large size paper and printing, it is necessary to always wipe the impression cylinder surface to remove residual ink (including paper powder, etc.).

In addition, in the case of a printing machine with a reversing function, for example, the first color printing unit prints the front side of the paper, then the paper is reversed during transport from the first color to the second color, and the paper is printed with the second color. Print on the back side. [Here] The undried ink on the front surface printed with a color comes into direct contact with the surface of the impression cylinder of the second color. As a result, the impression cylinder surface becomes dirty in the inlet.

As the dirt progresses, the remaining ink on the surface of the impression cylinder transfers to the paper surface.
This causes printing problems. Because of this, printing is frequently interrupted,
The impression cylinder surface will be wiped clean.

7 shows a vacuum pump unit for drawing out the cleaning liquid 4 from the container 3. A cyclone 8 and a mist separator 9 are provided in the middle of the piping from the vacuum pump unit to the container 3 to separate the liquid from ink/paper powder residue. 10 is a detector for detecting the liquid level, and is used to automatically maintain the cleaning liquid supplied from the 6 pump units at an optimum level. Reference numeral 12 denotes a detector for detecting the rotational phase of the brush roller, that is, whether or not the side where the brush is installed is facing the impression cylinder side, and for stopping the brush roller 2 in the cleaning pause phase.

From the state shown in FIG. 3, the cleaning liquid supply pump 6 is operated to feed the cleaning liquid 4 into the container. A liquid level detection switch 10 detects the amount of cleaning liquid filled, and when the appropriate amount is filled, the operation of the pump is stopped. The check valve 11 is used to prevent backflow of the filling liquid at the pump stop stage.

Note that drying air may be blown onto the surface of the impression cylinder 1 that has been completely cleaned to dry the cleaning liquid adhering to the impression cylinder 1. It is also conceivable to provide a gap in the ink tank to make it easier for the remaining ink adhering to the brush roller to dissolve into the cleaning solution.

以上で圧胴洗浄完了し、印刷作業の再開となる。With the above steps, the impression cylinder cleaning is completed and printing work can be resumed.

In the method of the present invention, in which brushes are planted only in a part of the periphery and part of the brushes are immersed in liquid, a roller with brushes planted all around the roller is brought into contact with the impression cylinder surface, and this brushing is carried out. This method has the following advantages over the method: 1) The brush contaminated with ink transferred from and attached to the impression cylinder can be washed off in the state shown in Fig. 1, and a decrease in cleaning performance can be prevented.

2)また、ブラシを洗浄するための洗浄装置を新たに設

3) A standby state (the state shown in FIG. 3) during printing work can be easily created. In the case of a full-circumference brush, it is necessary to newly provide a dedicated attachment/detachment device in order to obtain the two states of contact and separation with the impression cylinder, resulting in high costs.
