Conventionally, when cleaning heads, capstans, pinch rollers, etc. that have attached magnetic powder or dust peeled off from magnetic tapes, a cleaning tool such as a cotton swab is impregnated with a cleaning liquid such as isopropyl alcohol or carbon tetrachloride, and the cleaning tool is cleaned. The cotton swab was used to scrub the surface of the body. Therefore, if the head is installed in a place that is far back from the cartridge insertion hole, as is the case with 8-track cartridge type tape recorders, it is difficult to clean with a cotton swab, so a cloth, etc. 2. Description of the Related Art There is a known cleaner which includes a band-shaped tape made of a highly liquid-absorbing material such as paper, and which scrubs the head by impregnating the tape with a cleaning liquid.

However, this type of cleaner has a low cleaning ability because the contact force between the head and the cleaning tape is weaker than when rubbing directly with a cotton swab. In addition, abrasive material is applied to a belt-shaped tape made of polyester, etc.
There are also known methods that scrape off dirt from the object to be cleaned, but in this case, the cleaning ability is high, but if used for a long period of time, dirt will accumulate between the abrasive materials, which not only reduces the cleaning ability. On the contrary, the dirt trapped between the abrasive materials spills out and is released into the recording/reproducing machine, which is inconvenient.

Therefore, this idea uses tapes with different materials or surface shapes to improve cleaning performance.
The ends of the tape are inverted and joined to form a so-called Möbius strip, which is then incorporated into the main body of the cleaner. Two surfaces of this cleaning tape, which are made of different materials or have different surface shapes, are periodically and alternately applied to the object to be cleaned. This is intended to improve the cleaning effect by bringing the cleaning device into contact with the cleaning device.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the cleaning tape 11 includes a tape 11a made of a highly liquid-absorbing material such as cloth or paper, and a tape 11b made of a sheet-like tape made of polyester or the like coated with an abrasive material.
are pasted together, and the tape surface 11a is 180
It is twisted and joined with the joining tape 14 so that the tape surface 11b is on the same plane as the tape surface 11b to form a so-called Möbius strip shape. A conductive metal foil such as an aluminum sheet is attached to the bonding tape 14, which also serves as a position detection device.

As shown in FIG. 4, tape receivers 15 and 16 are erected from upper and lower case pieces 2 and 3 in the middle of the tape 11 running path, so that the running trajectory of the tape 11 is stabilized. Receptor 1
A pressing force is applied by the receivers 15 and 16, and the tape is twisted approximately 90 degrees in a direction perpendicular to the normal tape running direction, so that the tape surface is approximately parallel to the case surface, and the receiver 15,
The tape is turned in half at position 16. A cleaning liquid injection hole 1 is provided in the tape receiver 16 of the upper case piece 2.
9, and a felt-like part 1 is inserted into the gap between the two semicircular arc-shaped bases 20 at the top of the tape receiver.
7 is filled with the center compressed.

When cleaning the magnetic head of a cartridge-type tape recorder using the magnetic head cleaner configured as described above, first, a liquid such as carbon tetrachloride or isopropyl alcohol is poured into the cleaning liquid injection hole 19 formed on the top surface of the main body case 1. The injection pad 17 is sufficiently impregnated with the cleaning liquid. Thereafter, the cleaner is inserted and set into a cartridge tape insertion slot provided in a tape reproducing machine in the same manner as a normal cartridge tape operation. The capstan 18 in the reproducing mechanism is started, and the cleaning tape 11 is pulled while being pressed by the cooperative action of the capstan 18 and the rotor 10 in the main body case 1, and begins to run. As shown in FIG. 5, the cleaning tape 11 is pressed by the tape receivers 15 and 16 while traveling from the guide pin 7 to the guide pin 8, and the cleaning tape 11
The tape is twisted at 90 degrees so as to be substantially parallel to the upper surface of the case and comes into contact with the injection pad 17 of the tape receiver 16 which also serves as a liquid supply section.

The tape 11 has a surface 11a made of a liquid-absorbing member and a surface 11b coated with an abrasive material, which periodically come into contact with felt pads 17 filled in the tape receiver, and the surface 11a made of a liquid-absorbing material During the passage, the cleaning liquid impregnated in the pad 17 is absorbed. At this time, since the tape is approximately parallel to the case surface, the cleaning liquid from the injection pad 17 can be received on the front surface of the tape and the cleaning liquid can be sufficiently absorbed. The tape 11 is fed out to the tape path section and comes into contact with an object to be cleaned, such as a magnetic head. Two types of tapes, a tape 11b coated with an abrasive material and a tape 11a made of a liquid absorbent material, periodically pass through the magnetic head.
The tape 11b coated with an abrasive material serves to scrape off and polish the dirt on the head, and the tape 11a made of a liquid-absorbing material traps the scraped dirt between the liquid-absorbing members and softens the dirt with a cleaning liquid. Make it easy to peel off.

As the tapes 11 having different cleaning abilities are brought into contact with the head, which is the object to be cleaned, periodically, the cleaning ability is improved, and the liquid-absorbing member absorbs dirt, which improves the tape 11b coated with the abrasive material. The phenomenon of dirt clogging, which is a disadvantage of tape tapes, is reduced, and since both sides of the tape are in contact with the head, the same length of tape can be used twice as much.

It goes without saying that this invention can also be used for endless type compact cassette type cleaning tapes as shown in Figure 5, and the tape may be made of any material as long as it has a cleaning function on at least one side. If it has a cleaning tape on the front side and a magnetic tape with a playback function on the back side, it has a cleaning function and also has a voice function, which can be used as an indication when cleaning is completed, and it can also provide soothing music to the user. As described above, the cleaning device is equipped with an endless tape in which the front and back surfaces of the tape have different functions, and at least one surface has a cleaning function, and both ends of the tape are reversely bonded. Head periodically, shape,
Alternatively, since surfaces made of different materials come into contact with each other, the strengths of each tape can be utilized to cover the weaknesses, resulting in better cleaning.
