Description
本発明は新規な金属防蝕用被覆剤に関するもの
である。さらに詳しくは、特定のキレート反応性
エポキシ樹脂と活性有機硬化剤を含む防蝕塗料に
関するものである。特に錆の認められない鋼板や
脱錆鋼板は勿論のこと、発錆鋼板あるいは下地処
理の不備な鋼板及び亜鉛鋼板、アルミ、ステンレ
ス等に対して、すぐれた密着性及び防蝕性を有す
る塗料用組成物に関するものである。
従来のエポキシ樹脂塗料はそのすぐれた防蝕性
の故に広範囲な分野で金属保護塗料として用いら
れている。しかしそのすぐれた防蝕性を保つには
鋼板面の錆を入念に除去し、下地処理を十分に処
す必要がある。この下地処理を不充分に行つた状
態で塗装した場合、密着不良を起し、防蝕性能を
著るしく低下する。
それ故、鋼板下地処理を簡略化したものあるい
は錆面鋼板に塗装しても密着性が良く、かつ防蝕
性の優れた塗膜が得られればそのメリツトは大き
い。
本発明の目的は、鋼板の下地処理の簡略化した
もの、あるいは錆面鋼板に直接塗装しても、すぐ
れた密着性と耐蝕性を有する塗料用樹脂組成物を
提供することにある。
本発明の塗料用組成物は、必須の成分として、
(A)エポキシ樹脂と隣接水酸基を有する多核多価フ
エノールとを、エポキシ基が残存する割合で、且
つ、生成予備縮合物1分子当たり平均0.05モル以
上の多核多価フエノールが反応して含まれ、予備
縮合物のエポキシ当量が3000以下になる様な割合
で縮合させた予備縮合物と、(B)エポキシ樹脂用活
性有機硬化剤とを含有する。
本発明の組成物の成分である予備縮合物(変性
エポキシ樹脂)(A)はエポキシ樹脂と隣接水酸基を
有する多核多価フエノールとをエポキシ基が残存
する割合で溶剤の存在下又は不存在下及び触媒の
存在下または不存在下に加熱処理することにより
得られる。加熱温度としては特に限定はないが、
エポキシ樹脂の分解が起らず、かつ適当な時間で
反応が終了するべく通常100〜200℃で行うのが良
い。この反応時に触媒として、第3級アミン、4
級アンモニウム塩、4級ホスホニウム塩、アミン
の塩酸塩等を用いることができる。ここで使用す

(A) an epoxy resin and a polynuclear polyhydric phenol having adjacent hydroxyl groups are reacted in such a proportion that the epoxy group remains, and an average of 0.05 mol or more of polynuclear polyhydric phenol per molecule of the precondensate produced is contained; It contains a precondensate condensed in such a proportion that the epoxy equivalent of the precondensate is 3000 or less, and (B) an active organic curing agent for epoxy resin.
