Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide decorations articles which are composed of a specified plastic, has excellent water absorbing properties, thermal conductivity, touch and processability and can be colored, by kneading casein with a hydrated inorg. filler and water, molding the mixture, impregnating the molded product with formalin and curing it. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. casein (A) having a particle size of not larger than 100 mesh (e.g., rennet casein) is kneaded with 10-200pts.wt., pref 25-75pts.wt. hydorated inorg. filler (B) contg. water of crystallization or its hydrate (e.g., aluminum hydroxide), 10-40pts.wt. water (C) and optionally, 1-10pts.wt. pigment or acid dye, 1-50pts.wt. anhydrous inorg. filler (D). The mixture is left to stand at room temp. for 5-24hr and molded to obtain a molded product. The product is impregnated with 3-10wt% formalin (E) and cured to obtain a decorative product composed of a casein plastic contg. a hydrate inorg. filler. The decorative product is suitable for use as decoration articles such as eyeglass frame, watch belt, necklace, etc., which are used in contact with the human body.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] This invention relates to ornaments that often come into direct contact with the human body, such as eyeglass frames, watch panties, bracelets, and necklaces, and which contain a hydrous inorganic filler. By constructing decorative items from casein plastics, it also provides an immersive feel when worn.

Conventionally, such ornaments have been made of resin such as celluloid and epoxy resin. Although such resin ornaments have the advantage of being able to be colored in any desired color and producing extremely colorful and beautiful products, they have the problem of poor feel to the wearer's body. this is,
This is because cetroid and epoxy resin have almost no water absorbency and do not absorb sweat at all, making them sticky and slippery.Furthermore, their thermal conductivity is low, so they feel lukewarm when they come into contact with the skin. This is for such reasons.

There are also decorative items made of metals such as gold alloys and stainless steel, but these have high thermal conductivity, so they feel cold when they come in contact with the skin, and have poor water absorption, so they become sticky when you sweat. In the evening, there is a problem that it feels sticky and becomes slippery.

It is estimated that milk contains about 3 tres and human milk contains about 1 td. Among these, the one obtained by coagulating milk with the enzyme rennin is called rennet casein, and the one obtained by coagulating it with acid is called acid casein. Particularly suitable is the use of rennet casein. Also,
For casein, it is necessary to use a fine powder that is preferably pulverized to less than 100 mesh; coarse particles are disadvantageous because they will not be mixed uniformly with the filler.

Examples of the hydrous inorganic filler include glacial alonium oxide or alumina hydrate, calcium sulfate hydrate, hydrated silicic acid, calcium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, basic magnesium carbonate, hydrated aluminum silicate,
Magnesium silicate, hydrated silicic acid, etc. are used. These water-containing inorganic fillers include those that themselves have water of crystallization and those that become hydrated with water, and their water-containing properties improve the hydrophilicity of casei/compounds. Thermal conductivity can be improved even by adding a small amount.

These hydrous inorganic fillers are added at a ratio of 10 to 200 parts by weight, preferably 25 to 75 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of casein. If it is less than 10 parts by weight, the addition effect will not be sufficient, and if it exceeds 200 parts by weight, molding will become impossible and the physical properties will deteriorate significantly.

After thorough mixing in a crusher containing 30 parts by weight of upper ingredients, the casein was swollen by being loaded with Ili at room temperature for 12 hours. This mixture was filled into a mold and molded using a heat press machine at 95°C and 5 MPa, and then immersed in a 5-thiformer-11 solution to harden it. A molded body was obtained. When the properties of this molded body were measured, the following results were obtained: Specific gravity: 1.58 Hardness: 70-80° (20°C, 160°C RH, Rockwell 6 degree, M scale) Water absorption: 6-80° 10 inches (immersed in 25℃ water for 24 hours) Bending strength 70-80 MPa Thermal conductivity 0.5 Kcal/m, hr, 'C Static friction coefficient 02-(1,25 (25℃, 35 inches RH1)
Compatible material: deerskin) Compressive strength 300-400MPa After immersing this molded body in water at 25°C for 24 hours,
When left for 24 hours at 65%RH, the moisture content was 7 to 8.
It had decreased considerably. From this, it can be seen that the absorbed moisture such as sweat evaporates after being left for about 12 hours.

In addition, when we processed this molded product and used it in the resin contact parts of the glasses frames and temples, we found that the slippage due to sweat was much less than that of conventional celluloid, and the glasses were less prone to slipping when stepped on. was successfully prevented.

As explained above, since the decorative article of the present invention is made of casein plastic containing a hydrous inorganic filler, it has high water absorption, absorbs sweat and other moisture well, and prevents slipping due to sweat. Moreover, since the thermal conductivity is moderate, there is no discomfort when wearing it, and a good wearing feeling can be obtained. In addition, it is easy to process and can be colored freely, so
It has excellent decorative properties and can be made into ornaments with beautiful colors and patterns.
