Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent malfunctions and troubles of an interface device by comparing the identification code sent from a terminal equipment with that of a code setting device for detection of a connection error and disconnecting automatically the signal transmission line set between a primary device and the terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:When terminal equipments 3a and 3b are connected adversely to connectors 4b and 4a respectively, a code generator 9 outputs the identification code of the equipment 3b as that of the equipment 3a. Thus a code comparator 7 compares the codes with each other between the generator 9 and a code setting device 6 for decision of a connection error. Then the addresses of both equipments 3a and 3b are designated and a disconnection signal 7a is outputted. A signal cut-off device 8 opens the switching means corresponding to the equipments 3a and 3b and disconnects the signal lines 10a and 10b which connect a primary device 2 to both equipments 3a and 3b. Thus the signal transmission line is automatically disconnected when a connection error occurs and therefore malfunctions and troubles are prevented for an interface device.

(Means for Solving the Problems) Means provided by the present invention in order to solve the above-mentioned problems and achieve the above objects connects a terminal device that outputs a preset identification code and a main device. An interface device comprising code detection means for detecting an identification code of the terminal device, code setting means for setting an identification code of the main device, and an identification code of the code setting means and an identification code of the code detection means. Code comparison means outputs a disconnection signal only when the identification codes of the two sides do not match, and signal disconnection means disconnects the signal transmission path connecting the main device and the terminal device only when the disconnection signal is input. It is characterized by:

The input signals from the terminals W3c, . The code setting device 6 sets a unique identification code assigned to each terminal device 3a to 3n for each address of the corresponding terminal device. That is, the same identification code as the identification code of each of the terminal devices 3a to 3n described above is set for each terminal device. The code comparing device 7 compares the identification code of the code setting device 6 and the identification code of the code generating device 9 for each terminal device, and specifies the address of the corresponding terminal device and disconnects only when the two identification codes do not match. A signal 7a is output.

In this way, the terminal device 3a is connected to the connector 4b, and the terminal device 2
3b is connected to the connector 4a, the code generator W9 outputs the identification code of the terminal device 3b as the identification code of the terminal device 3a, and outputs the identification code of the terminal device f3a as the identification code of the terminal device W3b. Output. Therefore, as a result of comparing the identification codes of both the code setting device 6 and the code generating device 9, the code comparison device 7 determines that the terminal devices W3a and 3b are erroneously connected, and changes the addresses of the terminal devices 3a and 3b. A cut signal 7a is outputted. The signal disconnection device 8 opens the switching means corresponding to the terminal devices 3a and 3b, and connects the main device 2 and the terminal device 3a.
