換可能とすることによシ装置全体の小型化を図シ、専門
知識を必要とするメインテナンスからユーザを解放した
画像形成装置が提案され実視している。(例えば特開昭
5l−2433)かかるプロセスユニットは、ユーザー
による交換、運搬の際に感光体ドラムの回動軸が重力方
向に向き現家器もしくはクリーニング装置内のトナーが
片寄ることに起因する複写、印字不良やトナーの漏出、
飛散を防止するため、取り扱いの際感光体ドラム回動軸
が水子となるよう1把手部材が形成されている。一般に
前記把手部材を有するプロセスユニットh、把手部材の
機能面から2mK大別される。その一つは、プロセスユ
ニット着脱用の把手と運搬用のそれとが別購造として形
成されているもの、他の一つはプロセスユニット着脱用
及び運搬用の把手が同一であるものである。これら2つ
のタイプのプロセスユニットには以下記す持at有して
