転駆動部材と前記リボン巻取部材との間に相対す
べりを生じさせ、そのすべりに伴う抵抗力に基づ
いてリボン巻取部材を回転させるリボン巻取モー
タと、 前記巻取側または供給側のスプールにおけるイ
ンクリボンの外径を検出するリボン外径検出手段
と、 そのリボン外径検出手段の検出信号に基づき、
巻取側スプールにおけるインクリボンの外径であ
る巻取径の変化に対応して前記リボン巻取モータ
の回転速度を変化させるモータ制御手段と を含むことを特徴とするサーマルプリンタのリボ
