Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at reduction in road damage, noise and vibration as well as improvement in durability, by covering a ring core of a cross-link constituting a chain with a gummous material so as not to hinder a twist, in case of the chain using a crosschain. CONSTITUTION:The whole body of a metallic ring core 6 with a twist forming a cross-link 5 is covered with a gummous material 7 uniformly. This gummous material 7 uses such one that is rich in flexibility and abrasion resistance, of the same quality as tire tread rubber. With suchlike constitution, road damage, noise and vibration are all checked and simultaneously durability is improvable.

Detailed Description of the Invention (Industrial Field of Application) The present invention has a basic structure in which a cross link is covered with a rubber material in a required state, and is attached to a tire so that a car can drive on a snowy road. Not only does it provide a reliable anti-slip effect when driving, but it also minimizes damage to the road surface and reduces noise even when the cross chain is in contact with the road surface. This invention relates to a tire chain for automobiles that has low vibration and excellent durability.

(Prior Art and Problems to be Solved by the Invention) Tire chains for automobiles are very useful in themselves because they provide a substantial anti-slip effect even when the automobile is driving on snowy, muddy, etc. roads. However, on the other hand, there were the following problems. In other words, because conventional tire chains were manufactured using metal materials such as mild steel, for example, when a car drives on a road with little snow, a phenomenon occurs where the cross chain rubs strongly against the road surface. If this continued, each cross link would rapidly wear out, leading to the cross chain being severed within a short period of time. In addition, since the crosslink comes into contact with the road surface, the noise and vibrations while the car is running can cause damage to the road surface. There was also the problem of shellfish damage. Although such a situation can be resolved by frequently attaching and detaching the tire chain depending on the snowy condition of the road, it is difficult to avoid driving from a branch road with a lot of cloud cover to a main road with almost no snow, and then again to a branch road with a lot of snow. This is a common occurrence, and in such cases, repeatedly attaching and detaching the tire chain requires troublesome operations such as jacking up and moving the car each time it is attached, as well as securing a safe place to attach it. Considering that it would also be necessary to do so, this is virtually impossible.

(Means for Solving the Problems) An automobile tire chain (hereinafter referred to as tire chain) 1 of the present invention is a tire chain in which parallel side band members 2.2 are connected by a cross chain 3. The cross-links 5 forming the chain 3 are arranged such that at least the grounding portion of the twisted metal annular core member 6 is connected to each other so that the torsion of the annular core member 6 is not impaired. It is characterized by being covered with a rubber material 7 so that its movement is not obstructed.

(Function) However, the quick chain 1 of the present invention has a cross link 5.
5. Since mutual movement is unobstructed, it can be attached to a tire in the same manner as in a conventional tire chain. In the mounted state, the cross link 5 makes soft contact with the road surface at its rubber covering portion 10. Also, since the cross link 5 has torsion in the same way as a conventional tire chain,
A mountain-shaped biting part 14 as shown in FIG. 5 is formed on the outer circumferential surface part 13 of the tire, and the biting of the biting part 14 into the compacted snow road surface reliably prevents the tire from skidding. .

In FIGS. 1 to 5, the tire chain 1 of the present invention is configured as a single tire chain, for example, and a cross chain 3... (see FIGS. 1 and 2), and the configuration of the cross links 5 forming the cross chain 3 is different from that in conventional tire chains. The cross link 5 is the third
As shown in Figures 4 to 4, the entire twisted metal annular core material 6 is covered with a rubber material 7 almost uniformly, so that the torsion of the annular core material 6 is approximately faithfully represented as the torsion of the cross link 5. It is. As the rubber material 7 covering the annular core material 6, it is preferable to use a material that has the same flexibility and wear resistance as the trendy rubber of tires, for example. The thus formed cross links 5.5 are successively connected to each other so as to be able to move smoothly, thereby forming the cross chain 3.

In the tire chain 1 of the present invention, one example of a method for forming the crosslinks 5 by covering the annular core material 6 with the rubber material 7 is to form a crosslink base material formed by connecting a required number of annular core materials 6. After connecting both ends to the site chain via a connecting piece, a method may be mentioned in which the annular core material 6 is covered with the rubber material 7 using a method such as bringing a required portion of the chain base material into contact with a rubber liquid. Note that the annular core material 6 may be coated as long as at least the portion that will become the grounding portion is covered.

In addition, if the cross links in the connected state can move (bend) within a range that does not hinder the installation of the tire chain l, the connecting parts between the annular core members can be covered with a rubber material. There is no particular problem in this case, and the "scope of claims"
``Covering so that mutual movement of the crosslinks is not hindered'' includes such a covering state.

As shown in Fig. 6, when the protrusion 9 for biting into the surface of the cross link 5 is provided integrally with the covering part 1o, the anti-slip effect of the tire chain is further improved, and the covering The wear of the part 1o is slowed down, and the durability of the chain is further improved. Further, as shown in Fig. 7, an inflated portion of the annular core material 6 that becomes the ground contact portion is provided with an inflatable material for the purpose of slowing down the wear of the cross link 5 after the covering portion 10 is worn out, and for the purpose of acting as a spike. (Effects of the Invention) In the quick chain of the present invention, the cross link constituting the cross chain is such that at least the portion that becomes the grounding part of the twisted metal annular core material is arranged so that the twisting of the annular core material is not impaired. ■ Even when a car runs with the cross chain in contact with the road surface, it is completely different from the case with conventional tire chains that include a metal cross chain.
The crosslink contacts the road surface at its rubber coating. Therefore, the wear of the crosslinks is slow, and the tire chain of the present invention has significantly better durability than conventional tire chains. In addition, since the cross link makes soft contact with the road surface, there are fewer scratches on the road surface caused by the tire chain, and there is also less noise and vibration during driving.
