In the case of thin air-blowing type ceiling-suspended air conditioners as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, which have been commonly used in the past, a constant amount of air is supplied through the fan 4 during both cooling and heating. Indoor air taken in through a single intake window 3 that opens downward at a height is cooled or heated by a heat exchanger 5, and the cold or warm air is discharged into the room through an exhaust window 6. Not only do residents who live in areas where cold or warm air is discharged feel uncomfortable at any time, but also, especially during heating, the high-temperature air in the room tends to gather at high points in the room due to the draft effect. Nevertheless, the high-temperature air from that high place is sucked in and heated, and the warm air is discharged to a relatively high place in the room.
The temperature in the living zone was low compared to the amount of heat energy consumed, and the feet were especially cold, which had negative health consequences.

In view of the above-mentioned circumstances, the present invention aims to provide a ceiling-suspended air conditioner/heater that can avoid as much discomfort as possible to residents living in areas where cold or warm air is discharged, and at the same time significantly improve the heating effect. The ceiling-suspended air conditioner according to the present invention devised to achieve this purpose has the configuration described in detail at the beginning.
At least one indoor air intake window is provided separately from the intake window, and the indoor air sucked through the other intake window is mixed with the cool and warm air that has passed through the heat exchanger and is discharged. It has the following characteristics.

In FIGS. 3 and 4, reference numeral 1 denotes the body of an air conditioner and heater which is suspended and fixed from the ceiling a, and an indoor air intake window 3 that can be opened and closed via a variable partition 2 is provided on the rear side of the air conditioner. In addition, an exhaust window 6 equipped with a vertical wind direction plate 7 and a horizontal wind direction plate 8 is provided in the front part, and a main fan 4 for intake and exhaust and a heat exchanger 5 are installed in the fuselage 1 between these windows 3 and 6. is provided. Reference numeral 9 denotes another indoor air intake window which is formed in the lower part of the fuselage 1 at a position forward of the intake window 3 and can be opened and closed via a variable partition 10, and is connected to the heat exchanger 5. A suction/exhaust type auxiliary fan 11 is provided in the communication path, which communicates with the interior of the fuselage 1 between the exhaust window 6 and the exhaust window 6. It is configured so that the passed cold or warm air is mixed with the air and discharged into the room through the exhaust window 6.

FIGS. 5 and 6 show another embodiment, in which a vertical duct 12 is connected to the rear of the fuselage 1 and is connected to the interior of the fuselage 1 through a part of the intake window 3, An indoor air intake window 13 is formed at the lower end of the vertical duct 12 via a variable partition 14, and in the case of this other embodiment, the intake window 13 at the lower end of the vertical duct 12 is closed during cooling. By operating both fans 4 and 11 with the upper intake window 9 open, air at a relatively high temperature from the upper part of the room is used, and the cold air that has passed through the heat exchanger 5 is mixed with the cold air at a higher temperature. It mixes with high-intake indoor air and discharges it indoors. Also, during heating, by closing the upper suction window 9 and operating both fans 4 and 11 with the suction window 13 at the lower end of the vertical duct 12 open, air at a relatively low temperature from the lower part of the room is used. The warm air that has passed through the heat exchanger 5 and the suction room air whose temperature is lower than that are mixed and discharged into the room.

As is clear from the detailed description above, when the present invention is used, the indoor air is drawn in through the intake window 3, passes through the heat exchanger 5, and is separated from the indoor air where the cooled and heated air is generated. By inhaling the indoor air and mixing this inhaled indoor air with the above-mentioned cool and warm air, a part of the amount of heat that should be given to the indoor air is given in advance by the above-mentioned mixing action within the aircraft body 1, and the heat is essentially transferred to the indoor air. It is possible to dilute the temperature of the cold and warm air being discharged (cold air becomes a little higher and warm air a little lower).

Therefore, in a device that has the same heat exchange capacity as the conventional one, that is, the cooling and heating capacity, it is possible to not only avoid as much discomfort as possible to the residents living in the area where cold and warm air is discharged, but also to avoid discomfort to the residents who live in the area where the cold and hot air is discharged, especially during heating. By using relatively high-temperature indoor air that gathers in high places indoors due to the draft effect to dilute warm air and promote its circulation, the degree of temperature rise in the living zone, especially in the footwell area, is increased and compared to conventional methods. This made it possible to significantly improve the heating effect with the same amount of heat energy consumed.
