クスで各画素を構成すると共に入力濃度情報に応
じて各画素の濃度表現形式を決定する階調制御手
段と、この階調制御手段からの制御情報に応じて
上記サーマルヘツドの各発熱体を駆動するヘツド
駆動手段とを備えた多階調感熱記録装置であつて
、上記階調制御手段は、入力濃度情報に応じて各
画素内の記録ドツトパターンを決定するパターン
決定手段と、入力濃度情報に応じて各画素内のド
ツトに対する印字エネルギを予め決定するエネル
ギ決定手段と、各発熱体の蓄熱度合を判別してこ
の蓄熱度合に基づいて上記エネルギ決定手段で決
定された印字エネルギを補正する蓄熱補正手段と
で構成されていることを特徴とする多階調感熱記
