In a cassette holder for loading a tape cassette into a rotatable holder with one end pivoted, and for installing or removing the tape cassette at a recording/playback position, the inside of the holder is provided with upper and lower front surfaces of the tape cassette. Upper and lower elastic members are provided for pressing the tape cassettes loaded in the holder, and the elastic force of the lower elastic member is weaker than that of the upper elastic member.
