Conventional pedometers, as shown in Figure 1, mechanically detect the number of steps, but do not have a switch for the step detection sensor, and are attached to a waist belt or the like using a clip.

In addition, as shown in Figure 2, such clippers can be hooked onto a piece of clothing such as a breast pocket, and activated when the user starts walking, and when detection is not needed, the device can be used to disconnect the switch with the tip of a finger. There was something to operate.

However, with such conventional pedometers, there is a possibility of erroneous measurement due to disturbance caused by movement when wearing clothes, and the user has to operate the switch every time, and even when not in use. There was a problem where people forgot to turn off the switch, causing the power battery to drain.

FIG. 3 is a perspective view of one embodiment of the pedometer of the present invention, FIG. 4 is an exploded perspective view of the clip, and FIGS. 5 and 6 are side views of the main body. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a main body with a built-in detection sensor 2, a step count display window 3 on the front side, and a clip 4 protruding from the back side at a certain interval. The back surface of the clip 4 has a wave-like shape and has a sensor switch 5 protruding therefrom. The reason for the wavy shape is to increase the contact resistance with the end pieces of clothing and prevent them from falling off.

Now, when this pedometer is attached to clothing as shown in FIG. 5, the sensor switch 5 is pressed with the end piece 6 of the clothing as shown by the dotted line to activate the step detection sensor 2.

Further, when the pedometer is removed from the end piece 6 of the clothing, the pressure on the sensor switch 5 is released and the pedometer stops operating as shown in FIG.

As mentioned above, the pedometer of the present invention is equipped with a switch operation section on the back of the clip to turn off and on the operation of the step detection sensor, so the pedometer can only be used when attached to a piece of clothing. It has the effect of eliminating the troublesome operation.

Also, since there is no need to worry about forgetting to turn off the switch when not in use, there is no need to worry about unnecessary consumption of power supply voltage, etc.
