[Detailed description of the invention] This invention is suitable for polishing the surface of non-metal objects such as wood, bamboo, synthetic resin, etc., and metal objects such as aluminum, steel, copper, and steel. The present invention relates to a metal polishing tool used for polishing, and particularly to a tool attached to a power polishing device.

In general, power polishing equipment such as a rotary sander or an oscillating sander is frequently used for polishing work, and sandpaper is mainly used as the polishing tool.

As is well known, in the case of a power polishing device that does not have a clamping mechanism, the sandpaper is cut to approximately the same size as the movable body, and then both are attached using double-sided tape or hook-and-loop fasteners. In the case of a power polishing device, the sandpaper is attached to the movable body by applying the sandpaper and gripping the front and rear ends of the sandpaper using clamp mechanisms provided at the front and rear of the movable body. In either case, the sandpaper can be removed.

However, since sandpaper is made by adhering abrasive particles to the surface of a base material such as paper or cloth using an adhesive, it is highly flexible.

For this reason, when attaching it to the movable body of a power polishing device, it is necessary to be careful not to loosen it, which makes the work complicated, and even if it is properly attached, it may shift or loosen as the polishing operation continues. The initial mounting condition could not be maintained, and good polishing work could not be performed. Furthermore, since the abrasive particles gradually peel off, unnecessary scratches may be caused by the abrasive particles after peeling off, which not only prevents a good polishing finish but also causes the base material to wear out prematurely, resulting in its service life. The problem was that it was very short.

This invention was devised to solve the problems mentioned above, and its purpose is to:
It can be easily attached to the movable body of a power polishing device, and even during polishing work, the initial attachment state is always maintained, allowing good polishing work to be performed. To provide a metal polishing tool that can give a beautiful polishing finish, has excellent durability, and has a long life.

The metal polishing tool of the present invention has a base body made of a rigid metal plate that has a thin box shape with an uneven bottom wall and a side wall formed around the bottom wall, and can be fitted onto the movable body of a power polishing device. It is composed of a large number of fine convex polished teeth integrally formed on the outer surface of the base body, each having a top surface and a side surface, and the angle between these surfaces is an acute angle.

Since the base body is made into a thin box shape, it can be easily fitted onto the movable body of the power polishing device. In particular, since it has side walls, it can be positioned relative to the movable body, and even if the movable body moves, it will not move relative to the movable body. There is no deviation. For this reason,
The initial installation condition is maintained, allowing for good polishing work.

Since the polishing teeth are formed integrally with the base body, they are of the same quality and will not peel off. They also have a top surface and a side surface, and the angle between them, that is, the cutting action angle, is an acute angle, so it is difficult to scratch. exerts interaction effect,

Furthermore, in the present invention, the base body is made of a metal plate and has a thin box shape, so that its strength can be increased. In other words,
The side walls serve as ribs, making them stronger than flat plates.

Since the bottom wall is not flat but has projections and recesses, the grinding teeth formed on the projections strike the workpiece strongly and strike it gradually weaker as the grinding teeth on the recesses strike the workpiece weakly.
For this reason, it is ideal for rough finishing, and in particular, it is capable of quickly polishing soft objects to be polished.

No. 33626, and in the etching process, a metal plate material having an exposed metal portion and an etchant are physically moved relative to each other, and the exposed metal portion is chemically etched by the etchant. A recess 9 with a curved cross section is formed on the surface of the metal plate material after being etched by an action similar to the erosion action in the natural world, and convex polished teeth 3 are formed between the adjacent recesses 9. It was designed to do so.

The metal polishing tool 1 can be easily fitted onto the movable body 21 of the power polishing device 20. FIG. 4 exemplifies the case where it is fitted onto a rocking sander. In this case, by interposing, for example, double-sided tape or a hook and loop fastener between the inner surface of the metal polishing tool 1 and the outer surface of the movable body 21, it can be removably attached.

When the power polishing device 20 is started after being attached, the metal polishing tool 1 accurately follows the movement of the movable body 21. This is because the metal polishing tool 1 does not come loose in the vertical direction due to the double-sided tape or hook-and-loop fastener, and is also provided with a side wall 5 that abuts the side surface of the movable body 21 and is positioned. be. Therefore, even when polishing the object 30 by contacting it, there is no lateral displacement between the movable body 21 and the initial attachment state is maintained.

Since the polishing tooth 3 has a top surface 6 and a side surface 7, and the angle formed by these is an acute angle, it exhibits a scraping action and performs good polishing, making the surface of the object to be polished uniform and beautiful. I can finish it.

The metal polishing tool 1 includes a side wall 5, which is formed by being bent, so that it is usually connected to the bottom wall 4 by an arc. Therefore, when brought into contact with the object to be polished 30, the polishing teeth 3 from the outer circumferential portion of the bottom wall 4 toward the side wall 5 gradually stop contacting the object to be polished 30, so that the metal polishing It is easy to slide the tool, and it is extremely unlikely to get caught.

The top surface 6 of the polishing tooth 3 may be a smooth surface as shown in FIG. 5, but it may also be a rough surface as shown in FIG. In this way, the polishing effect due to the rough surface is taken into account, so that even more excellent polishing can be performed. To obtain such a device, it can be easily manufactured by the method described above using a metal plate material with a rough surface.

That is, when a metal polishing tool is brought into contact with an object to be polished, only the polishing teeth come into contact, and a gap is formed between the object to be polished and the base body, in which chips are accumulated. Thus, the chips are effectively sucked and discharged through the communication portions such as through holes and notches that pass through the base body 2. Above all,
Since the metal abrasive tool has rigidity, the above-mentioned voids are formed appropriately and the chips are guided well.
