室形成壁で囲繞され且つヘツド下面に開口する副
室を配置してなるエンジンのシリンダヘツドにお
いて、シリンダ軸方向の上方から見て、上記ヘツ
ド下面を構成する下面壁部の上記副室側の側端部
を、該副室に対応する部分を頂部としてシリンダ
配列方向に直交する方向に向けて湾曲状に膨出さ
せてこれを延出部とする一方、上記副室形成壁に
連続してシリンダ配列方向に延びる外壁を、上記
下面壁部の上記延出部よりもシリンダボア中心側
位置においてしかも該副室形成壁と上記ヘツドボ
ルトボスとをシリンダ配列方向に沿つて直線状に
連結する直線壁で構成し、さらに上記外壁の上記
副室に対応する位置の外面と上記下面壁の上記延
出部との間に跨つてシリンダ軸方向に延びる縦壁
を形成したことを特徴とするエンジンのシリンダ
