スクに情報を記録再生するデイスク記録再生装置
と、上記カートリツジを装置内部から外部へ送出
し、外部から装置内部へ送入するカートリツジ給
排機構と、収納区画、デイスク記録再生装置、及
びカートリツジ給排機構の相互間で上記カートリ
ツジを取り出し、保持して搬送し、挿入する搬送
機構とを備えている大容量デイスク記憶装置にお
いて、収納区画のカートリツジを出し入れする収
納区画側カートリツジ出入口、及び、デイスク記
録再生装置のカートリツジを出し入れするデイス
ク記録再生装置側カートリツジ出入口が、共に上
方を向くように構成されていると共に、搬送機構
が収納区画及びデイスク記録再生装置の上方に位
置してカートリツジを吊り下げて搬送し得るよう
に構成されていることを特徴とする大容量デイス
