Methods described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 7590, Japanese Patent Publication No. 36-20577, etc. are known, and these all relate to techniques for hot stamping printing on flat parts of articles. Regarding the technique of foil stamping printing on the concave curved surface of an article, a method described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 7843/1988 has been proposed, but with this method it is not possible to foil stamp the convex, chevron-shaped part of the article. be.

When hot stamping printing is performed using a roll made of heat-resistant rubber having a groove with a similar cross-sectional shape and a specific hardness,
The inventors have found that the above object can be achieved and have completed the present invention.

In the figure, an article 1 having an inverted V-shaped cross-sectional shape is illustrated. The angle α formed by the chevron-shaped convex surface of article 1 is
90 degrees or more is preferable, and the range from 95 degrees to 140 degrees is
Particularly preferred. The article 1 may be made of thermoplastic synthetic resin, thermosetting synthetic resin, or the like. In addition, although the figure shows an example of a thin-walled article having an inverted V-shaped cross-sectional shape, it is of course not limited to the illustrated article. It is preferable that the article 1 is supported by the jig 2, since hot stamping printing can be carried out smoothly.

Examples include rolled foil made of colored paper or plastic film, and foil prepared by metal vapor deposition. These stamping films may be made of one color or may be printed with multiple colors such as a wood grain pattern.

This roll 3 has a cylindrical or short cylindrical outer shape, and a cut groove 4 having a similar shape to the chevron shape of the article is provided on its outer peripheral wall. The cut grooves 4, which are similar in shape to the chevron shape of this article, have the function of pressing the stamping film 7 along the chevron-shaped convex surface of the article 1 so as not to cause wrinkles, and adhering the foil surface to the article. It is something that will be fulfilled. Therefore, it is preferable that the angle α' of the kerf groove 4 be equal to the angle α formed by the chevron-shaped convex surface of the article 1, or that α' be several degrees larger than α.

Leave it as a sharp ridge. This protrusion serves to cut the foil surface of the stamping film when the stamping film 7 is pressure-adhered to an article. Therefore, it is better to make the protrusion as sharp as possible. The roll 23 shown in FIG. 2 shows that both ends 25, 25 of the cut groove 24 are sharpened.

The protrusions function to cut the foil surface of the stamping film, but if they are too soft or too hard, they will not be able to perform these functions satisfactorily.
The preferred hardness of the material constituting the roll is JIS K
- The value measured in accordance with 6301 is in the range of 60 to 90 degrees.

Therefore, the material of the roll is preferably made of heat-resistant rubber. Examples of the heat-resistant rubber include silicone rubber and fluorine rubber.

Place it under slight tension. Next, the stamping film 7 is pressed onto the article 1 by the roll 3, which has been previously heated to a desired temperature by the heater 6. The stamping film 7 is heated by the roll 3 to activate the heat-sensitive adhesive, and is first pressed onto the top of the chevron-shaped convexity of the article 1 . Stamping film 7
By pressing it against the article 1 with the roll 3, it is possible to make it adhere tightly without causing wrinkles. By further pressing the roll 3 against the article 1, the foil surface of the stamping film can be adhered to the article. Next, when the stamping film is peeled off, only the foil surface adheres to the chevron-shaped convex surface of the article 1 by means of the heat-sensitive adhesive previously applied to the stamping film.

The foil surface transferred to the chevron-shaped convex surface can form accurate and beautiful lines that match the sharp protrusions 5, 5.
