Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a dial for a timepiece having superior ornamental properties by subjecting an Al dial for a timepiece to anodic oxidation, electrolytic coloring and lapping. CONSTITUTION:Al stock is worked into a dial for a timepiece and the dial is anodically oxidized in a conventional sulfuric acid bath to form an anodic oxide film on the surface. The dial is immersed in an electrolytic coloring soln. contg. a metallic salt and AC electrolysis is carried out to color the dial according to the metallic salt. The colored Al dial is treated in boiling water to seal the pores and the surface of the dial is smoothened by lapping. Thus, a color dial for a timepiece having superior ornamental properties is produced.

Desired color tones such as brown and blue can be obtained. In addition, since the precipitated metal passes through the micropores of the anodic oxide film layer and is deposited near the barrier layer on the aluminum material side, a color tone with optical interference colors can be obtained, and the surface anodic oxide film layer can be wrapped. Smoothing results in a color dial with even higher texture.

Each colored aluminum material thus obtained was sealed in boiling water, and then the surface of the anodized layer was smoothed by lapping. Next, these materials were pasted onto the dial base to create the finished product. Each of the color dials for watches obtained in this manner had a higher texture than ever before, exhibited a crisp color tone, and was excellent in decorativeness.

As described above, it has become possible to easily manufacture a watch dial with a high texture and excellent decorativeness by anodizing an aluminum material, coloring it using an electrolytic coloring method, and then lapping the surface. The examples describe one example of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited thereto. Similar effects can be obtained by wrapping a colored film obtained by a known anodic oxidation method or electrolytic coloring method. It is possible to obtain. Furthermore, the present invention can be applied to watch cases, bands, decorations, etc.

以上that's all
