[Detailed description of the invention] This invention relates to an improvement of a wall-mounted air conditioner. Conventionally, cooling has been performed using a wall-mounted air conditioner, and heating has been performed using a floor-standing heater such as an oil hot air fan. In this case, during heating operation, warm air stays in the upper part of the room, making the temperature distribution in the room uneven, making it difficult to perform comfortable heating, and making the operation uneconomical. Also, the air conditioner was not used at all during heating, making it uneconomical.

The present invention has been developed with such problems in mind, and one embodiment of the invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In Fig. 1, reference numeral 1 is fixed to the upper part of a wall 2a in a room 2, which is connected via piping to an outdoor unit (not shown) that has a built-in compressor, an outdoor blower, an outdoor heat exchanger, etc. that acts as a condenser, and is used for cooling. In a wall-mounted air conditioner, the box body has an air inlet and an air outlet (neither shown) in a vertical relationship, for example, the inlet is provided at the upper front or top surface, and the air inlet is provided at the lower front or bottom. A cooler that functions as an evaporator and a cross-flow blower (none of which are shown) are built in between the outlet and the outlet. 3 is a heater.

In the above configuration, during cooling operation, the changeover switches 6 and 7 are switched to the cooling side. Room temperature is set value
Relays 9 and 10 higher than T1 are energized and contacts 9a,
10a is closed, the indoor blower motor FM2 rotates at high speed, the outdoor blower motor FM1 and the compressor motor CM rotate, and cooling operation is performed. When the room temperature becomes lower than the set value T1' due to this cooling operation, relays 9 and 10 are demagnetized, and motors FM1, FM2,
CM stops and cooling operation is stopped.

Next, when the heater 3 is in heating operation, the changeover switches 6 and 7 are switched to the circulator side. Then, the cooling function is stopped, and when the temperature detected by the second temperature detection means 5 exceeds the set value T2, the relay 1 is activated.
1a is energized, the indoor fan motor FM2 operates at a slow speed, and the warm air staying in the upper part of the room is circulated as shown in Figure 1. This circulation action makes the temperature distribution in the room even. Since it stops when the temperature becomes low, it does not give the occupants a feeling of cold air.

Incidentally, if the rotation speed of the blower motor FM2 is increased as the difference between the temperature detected by the first temperature detection means 4 and the temperature detected by the second temperature detection means 5 increases, the feeling of comfort can be further increased. can.
Further, the installation position of a single temperature detection means may be changed between cooling and heating.

As mentioned above, this proposal provides a wall-mounted air conditioner with an air inlet and an air outlet in a vertical relationship, and a built-in cooler and blower, which performs cooling operation and heating circulation operation in which warm air from the upper part of the room is lowered. The present invention includes a switching means for switching, a temperature detection means for outputting a signal when the indoor warm air temperature is higher than a set value, and a control means for driving the blower to perform heating circulation operation using the output signal from this means. In winter, when a separate heater heats the room and warm air accumulates in the upper part of the room, the circulation function of this air conditioner is used to guide the warm air to the lower part of the room, equalizing the temperature distribution in the room and heating the room. The effect can be improved.

In addition, by adding a circulation function to the air conditioner,
The air conditioner, which could only be used in the summer, can now be used as a circulator in the winter, making it economical and having great practical effects.
