本考案は、地表堀削作業に対して地中埋設物の
存在を警示する警示装置に関する。 ガス管、上下水道管、電力、通信ケーブルなど
の地中埋設物は地表から見えないため、工事等の
ため地表堀削時に損傷を受けることがあり、これ
が原因で大事故に発展した事例も少なくない。 従来からビニール等の帯状のシートを埋設物の
上の地表に近い個所に埋設する方法が用いられ、
また単なるシートでは堀削機械のシヨベルなどで
容易に切断されてしまうので、これを改良し、シ
ートを折り畳んで、引張られれば伸びるように考
案されたシートも開発されている(実公昭53−
34001)。 しかし、この改良されたシートは帯状のシート
を単に長手方向に折り畳んで形成されているため
に次の欠点を有している。 地下埋設管は道路の長手方向に沿つて敷設され
て居り、堀削機械もその方向に作業されることが
多い為に、埋設されたシートに対して側方よりも
むしろ長手方向からシヨベルが当たることが多
い。上記の改良されたシートを用いた場合、シヨ
ベルが側方から操作された時には所期の効果を得
られるが、シヨベルがシートの長手方向から操作
された時には、シヨベルの先端がシートを下方に
抑えつけて損傷を与えるだけでシヨベルがシート
を引掛けて持ち上げない。このような操作が繰返
される間に、シートは引裂かれてしまい、工事業
者にシートの存在が気付かれずに終つてしまつた
事例が見られる。 このような欠点を除去するめため、実公昭51−
5212に開示されているように、帯状シートの内部
から帯状シートの一方の縁に達する幅方向の弱化
部分(たとえば切れ目など)と他方の縁に達する
幅方向の弱化部分とを、間隔をおいて交互に設
け、パワーシヨベルなどによる負荷によつて弱化
部分が引き裂かれ、その結果帯状シートの伸びが
もたらされる構成を有する地中埋設物の警示シー
トが考案されている。しかしながらこのような帯
状シートも、シート内に切れ目などの弱化部分を
設け、これが引き裂かれることによつて帯状シー
トの伸びがもたらされるという構成を有するため
以下の欠点を有する。 帯状シートの効果を充分に果すためには、帯状
シートが地上に露出する途中で完全に切断されず
に、地表から充分に伸びきつて地上に露出するこ
とが必要である。そのため帯状シートの伸びを大
きくする必要があるが、その構成としては、各弱
化部分相互の間隔を狭めるか、弱化部分の幅方向
の長さを大きくすることが考えられる。前者の場
合には、各弱化部分相互の間隔が狭まるのに対応
して、帯状シート状に印刷された注意表示および
会社名の文字も小さくしなければならない。帯状
シート警示機能を考慮すれば、弱化部分相互の間
隔を極端に狭めることができず、その結果帯状シ
ートの伸びが制約される。また後者の場合には、
弱化部分の幅方向の長さが大きくなるのに対応し
て帯状シートの引裂き強度が弱まる。したがつて
弱化部分の幅方向の長さを極端に大きくすること
ができず、その結果帯状シートの伸びが制約され
る。さらに帯状シートが完全に切断されるのを防
ぐため、帯状シート素材の選定に際しても、引裂
き強度の大きい丈夫な素材を要する。したがつて
帯状シート素材の選定の困難さおよび帯状シート
素材のコストアツプを招来する。 また地下埋設物が、幅の広いものであつたり、
細いものであつても何本かが並列に埋設されてい
て、幅広く埋設物に存在することを警示しなけれ
ばならない場合、上記のシートによれば警示した
い幅と同じ幅のシートが必要で価格の高いものに
なつてしまう。 本考案は、地中埋設管などの上方の地表浅くに
埋設して使用する装置であるが、本考案は上記改
良製品の欠点を解決することを目的としている。 本考案を図面について詳しく説明すると、第1
図に示すようにナイロン、ポリエステル、ピニロ
ン、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレンなどの耐水性
および耐腐触性があり、かつ適度の引張りおよび
引裂き強度を持つ合成樹脂または合成繊維からな
るシート、織布、不織布などの単体ないしは貼り
合わせ等による複合体などの素材からなる帯状シ
ート1に、注意表示、会社名、連絡電話番号など
を変色し難いインキで印刷する。この帯状シート
1は、第2図に示すように同一平面上で延長方向
に対して略一定の角度θをもつてジグザグに所望
幅W内で折り返し、かつ帯状シートの各折り返部
4の相互間に間隙部2が生ずるように構成され、
全体として所望幅Wの長尺シート状物Aが形成さ
れる。このように形成された長尺シート状物A
は、中央部を破断可能なミシン糸3で縫製するこ
