写記録方法に使用するための感熱溶融転写記録媒体に関
する。さらに詳しくは、ポリエステルフィルムの一方の
面に熱溶融性合成樹脂をベヒクルの主たる成分とする熱
溶融着色インク層が設けられてなる感熱溶融転写記録媒

る加熱で良好に溶融して、前記着色インク層とポリエス
テルフィルムとの間に内部凝集力の弱い層が形成される
ため、前記着色インク層がベヒクルに起因する内部凝集
力の強さを有しているにもかかわらず、サーマルヘッド
による加熱箇所だけが選択的に記録紙側に転写するもの
と考えられ、これによってポリエステルフィルムを支持
体にしながら熱溶融性合成樹脂をベヒクルの主成分とす
る着色インク層を良好に転写せしめることができるよう
